  • Live up to the specifications in devices that work with NiMH batteries.
Size: 16 Count (AAA)
Have used these for a while now and they meet all specifications. Tested the capacity after a few charge/discharge cycles and they are within 5% which can vary with discharge rate, etc. I have used many Tenergy batteries and they generally work and last well. Note that like any NiMH battery the terminal voltage is slightly less than Alkaline batteries so they do not work well in all applications. ... show more

  • I waited a year for an accurate review, they are worth it!
Size: 24 Count (12 AA + 12 AAA)
The media could not be loaded. I don't see myself ever going back to anything else. I did a lot of research and these kept coming up on top and found them to be the best for our needs. We use these for everything, flashlights, remotes, string lights, electric toothbrushes, candles. After 1 year we have had no real issues. As time went on, I bought an additional charger. They last 2-3 days in led holiday string lights (we run 24/7 on those), 5-7 days in candles, they last months in electric toothbrushes/remotes and weeks in my led work flashlight. We bought more and more batteries so we can have a perpetual supply ready to change out during holiday and simply got used to spending a few minutes every few days changing and recharging. At about $2 per AA batteries, less for AAA we have saved so much over time because we have now charged some over 60 times. Less guilt now with all those Alkalines we threw away in the past. So the little things, batteries are a little bigger than regular size, so some things are a tight fit. They do last a little less than disposable batteries. It takes 6 hours to recharge them, so we solved the problems by slowly buying around 80 AA and 60 AAA so we never run out. A few lost the black coating around the + terminal, but hasn't effected operation at all. ZERO have failed. If they live up to the 1100 recharges, they will have saved us thousands of dollars in disposables. ... show more

  • Good looking cells, we will see how they perform now.
Size: 8 Count (4 AA + 4 AAA)
August 7, 2025 I just got these so I can’t make a performance review yet against my eneloop rechargeable batteries I have only used prior (both the black and white models). These Tenergy feel good in the hand when handled. I’d say just as good as the high capacity eneloops. Build looks good. They come with a reputation of being a good second choice to eneloops. I went to charge these batteries using two Panasonic chargers I use for my eneloops. Charger One: Panasonic BQ-CC65AKBBA Super Advanced eneloop pro and eneloop 4-Position Quick Charger with LCD Indicator Panel and USB Charging Port, Black. The Tenergy Premium Pro’s worked in this charger to all observations, perfectly well. No errors, they were read immediately just like eneloops in this charger. They took about the same time too, which I think was about three to fours hours. But note, this is not a rapid charger. This charger has greater features on it, is more advanced and does advertise to be a quick charger, but they accomplish this perhaps because when it charges two batteries at once, the charge time is cut in half to about two hours. Anyways, this charged the Tenergy AA with no problem, no excessive heat. The second charger used was a; Panasonic BQ-CC55 eneloop Advanced Individual Battery Charger with 4 LED Charge Indicator. This Panasonic charger is a very common model that is often included with batteries in a package, though can be purchased on its own. The beauty of this charger is it’s fast. 4 batteries in less than two hours. It’s compact and no cords to deal with. This charger has a set of LED lights that are layer in a thin strip across the front panel just above the top of the batteries. Each individual battery is graded in the following colours: RED - depleted and needs charging, AMBER - battery is approximately 50% charged and GREEN: Fully charged. When the Tenergy AAA batteries were placed into this charger, the led lights showed red across all cells. I repeated the process of taking them out and placing them back in several times to be certain. No change. I left them in, hoping they were just depleted batteries and after some time, the colours would change. I stayed close by, in case of any overheating. Well, after a few minutes, the lights remained red and then just went out altogether. This charger for whatever reason would not charge the Tenergy batteries. I wanted to share my experience as there may be plenty of folks out there that own a Panasonic BQ-CC55 as it’s a great charger (for eneloop batteries). But, unless my experience was an anomaly, don’t expect these Tenergy batteries to charge in the BQ-CC55. Now Tenergy makes their own chargers and that may be the safest bet. There are also chargers that are more advanced such as the Panasonic BQ-CC65AKBBA, Fenix ARE-A4 and others that are less proprietary in their application. The more advanced chargers usually charge batteries from a wide range of brands and battery types. They are usually a little bit more expensive, but not a night/day difference. The only drawback I think is they charge slower, which is technically healthier for the life of the batteries overall. If you are just getting into rechargeable batteries, it would be ideal to have both a fast charger, which nearly every brand makes for their cells and a more advanced model which have more features such as a Refresh cycle more battery information during a charge and usb abilities. As highlighted in this review, examples of two different chargers are the Panasonic line. If you wonder why I chose the Panasonic line to charge my Tenergy batteries and draw my comparisons with their models, after using many brands over the years, for chargers and rechargeable batteries, my experience is Eneloop AA and AAA batteries are made by Panasonic in Japan and the best money can buy. Being made in Japan, I believe the product has better quality control. They have the strongest reputation to constantly live up to with consumers too. If you read reviews, you’ll see they support these points. Chargers are a bit different. If you buy Panasonic Eneloops, I recommend at least on Panasonic charger as they are designed for each other. If you like to buy different brand batteries to save money or satisfy your curiosity, rather but a proprietary charger for each, consider a more advanced model that charges most NI-MH batteries. It will cost far less and you’ll get lots of use from it sticking an Eneloop, EBL, PowerOwl, Amazon Basics cells into these more advanced chargers. Nothing is guaranteed to work until you try it, but this is comprehensive rule of thumb. Always investigate reviews where someone states this brand battery works with this brand of charger. The Panasonic Eneloops are the most expensive rechargeable batteries available. But most reviewers concur they are the best. These Tenergy models are less money and have been reviewed generally well, with some stating they like them even more than Eneloops. So I’m gonna see how they hold up. If they do, I will be looking to get more Tenergy brand cells. I will update this review once I have had these go through a few discharge cycles and report how well they perform. Edit: Sep 11, 2025 Ok, these batteries have shown impressive performance in stuff like led lighting devices compared to using white eneloops in the exact units. The Tynergy have a stronger energy, so the lights are slightly brighter, especially when freshly charged up. They last a bit longer too. So far, can’t do anything but recommend them for their performance. ... show more

High quality rechargeables, real money savers! These are higher capacity NiMH batteries with good life in headlamps & flashlights.

  • Quality battery manufacturer
Size: 24 Count (12 AA + 12 AAA)
Entire set came with a storage charge that was fairly even between all cells. All cells charged up perfectly. I still have tenergy batteries (2600mah, light blue wrapper) that are still functional, that I purchased in 2008…so, I naturally felt obligated to give this company another go!

  • Stated capacity not met
Size: 8 Count (4 AA + 4 AAA)
I got the 4AA+4AAA pack. The AAA are supposed to 1100mAh and the first charge-discharge-charge cycle got the 4 within a range of 790-850. After several more cycles the 4 AAA stabilized at 970-1020mAh. The AA required the same treatment to get anywhere close to the rated capacity. The AAs got to 2665, 2745, 2755 and 2760 mAh. Not a single battery met the advertised capacity. I don't know what the life time will be. Hopefully it will be at least half as long as my Eneloops have (13 years of moderate use). Every single Eneloop of the dozens I have exceeded the stated capacity by at least as much as these have fallen short of theirs. Marketing strategies aside, these batteries came with nice cases and they are still a pretty good deal for the capacity that they are actually capable of. Two stars off because "misleading marketing" really vexes me. ... show more
