  • works well
Color: WIFI7 2 Pack
It looks good, it's very easy to set up with its app, and it works quite well. I recommend it because it has better range than a regular router! The only drawback is that I wish it had two more Ethernet ports.

  • Solid Wi-Fi 7 Mesh Value with Room for Improvement
Color: WIFI7 2 Pack
I recently tried out this two-pack Wi-Fi 7 mesh system and I’m giving it 4 out of 5 stars. Overall, it delivers impressive performance for the price, but there are a few rough edges that keep it from being a perfect upgrade. Here are my detailed impressions: 👍 What’s good Speed & Future-proofing With Wi-Fi 7, you get built-in support for wider channels, lower latency, and newer technologies like Multi-Link Operation (MLO). Even with current devices, the throughput feels snappier than my old Wi-Fi 6E setup, especially in high-traffic conditions. If you plan to upgrade your gadgets (phones, laptops, streaming devices), this gives you breathing room for the future. Coverage and Stability The 2-pack does a nice job covering a decently sized home. Dead spots that used to plague corners are much less common, and roaming between nodes happens without noticeable drops. For streaming, video calls, and light gaming, the experience is consistently good. Design & Setup Setup was fairly straightforward. The units are sleek enough, don’t run overly hot, and the app/management interface is usable. Even for someone who isn’t deeply technical, getting everything online and optimized took only a modest amount of tweaking. 👎 What could be better Wireless Backhaul Limits Without seeing inside the fine print (firmware, port speeds, etc.), there are some trade-offs. If you’re relying entirely on wireless backhaul (i.e. the nodes communicate over Wi-Fi rather than Ethernet), you’ll see some performance drop-off, especially on longer distances or through multiple walls. If possible, wired backhaul or placing the nodes in line of sight helps a lot. 6 GHz Band Utilization Even with Wi-Fi 7, many devices still don’t fully leverage the 6 GHz band; its range is more limited, and obstacles degrade its usefulness. So while it’s a nice feature, unless your devices are Wi-Fi 7 compatible and close enough, you may not get the full benefit of that band. Price vs Features For what you get, the price is reasonable—but in some cases, you’d be paying for features you might not yet need. If your internet plan isn’t super fast (say under 1-2 Gbps) or you don’t have many high‐bandwidth devices, a less expensive Wi-6E mesh might meet your needs for much less. Firmware / Software Polish Minor quibbles: occasional drops during firmware updates, or node reconnection taking a minute or two; some advanced settings are buried. Not deal-breakers, but worth knowing if you like to tinker or expect seamless behavior out of the box. 💡 Best use case & recommendations This mesh set is great if you have a moderate-to-large home and want solid coverage plus added speed, especially if you’re planning to get Wi-Fi 7 devices. If your modem or ISP plan supports high throughput (multi-gigabit), or you already have wired backbone to connect the nodes, you’ll get the most value. But if your internet speed is modest and most devices are Wi-Fi 5 or 6, you might not see the return on investment right away. ⭐ Verdict This two-pack Wi-Fi 7 mesh system is a strong upgrade—faster, more capable, and more ready for what’s next. It loses a star because of reliance on wireless backhaul in some setups, and because some of its premium features are underutilized for many users today. But if you want high performance, future-ready Wi-Fi, and solid coverage now, it’s a very good choice. ... show more

  • Easy to setup and configure
Color: WIFI7 2 Pack
Ordered this to setup a second network at my house. Let me preface this with I am an IT Director. Setup on these device was straight forward for everyday use. However, I went a lot deeper and setup a lot of other not normal settings. I was able to configure this WiFi system as a second network in my house and set the devices the way I want. I like how each device has rj45 ports so you can run non-wifi devices anywhere in your house. I set one up to run a voip phone in the back of my house. I like tge web based ui for setup and control as it is very easy. These routers seem to be working very quickly and we'll with my wifi 6 devices. Overall, these are really eady to use wifi routers. ... show more

  • I’m finally getting the speeds I’m paying for!
Color: WIFI7 2 Pack
This router is really fast, with both wired or WiFi. I don’t believe I have any devices that can utilize the WiFi 7 technology, but it has improved my speeds on the earlier protocols a lot. My old router had ports were limited to 100mbps (I didn’t know this until I was troubleshooting why I wasn’t getting the speed my plan advertised) and I would get 92mbps on average wired. I am getting 474mbps over Ethernet now. Even over WiFi the old one was about the same 90-96mbps, with the Tenda it’s 370mbps. I’m so happy to finally be getting the speeds I’m paying for every month. The units themselves look nice. The cylinder shape is plain and they can set on a shelf and not be an eyesore. There are 3 ports on each of them and one of those is needed for the incoming signal. You can run 2 lines out and split them from there if you need wired connections. It’s easy to hook up and get everything going. You will need to download the Tenda app to set up your router and password. The second device will be recognized, on the network once’s it connected through Ethernet. The app is pretty basic and straightforward. There isn’t a ton of options on there and during the basic set up I didn’t see where the more in depth options were, like where to set up a VPN. When I get a compatible VPN service, I’ll have to search deeper. There was only one problem I ran into. I was using both units and they were working great. When I went to watch a movie, the unit in the living room was interfering with my home theater sound system, that uses wifi to carry surround and height channels. So, I had to move that one into a back bedroom, to get it away from the equipment and everything is working great now. The price is the only thing that maybe a negative. It’s a fair price at $80ish per unit. That’s on par with some mid/higher end home routers. The way these work together is a lot simpler than setting up two separate routers correctly and getting them to not interfere with each other. It’s a great choice if you are not technicality inclined and want a simple and straightforward way to set up internet over a larger space. If a single router will cover your living area, I would recommend just getting a nice single unit from somewhere else and save a few dollars. ... show more

  • Decent speeds, potentially severe vulnerabilities, no OpenWRT support
Color: WIFI7 2 Pack
I'm very familiar with various WiFi routers. It seems an okay value for the price, it's easy to use, and matches the product description. The ME3 Pro hardware is good quality that provides decent wireless connectivity speeds, and looks nice. The problem is that Tenda devices have severe vulnerabilities and backdoors, and with no OpenWRT support, you're opening yourself up to potential problems with bad actors. ... show more
