I bought this to solve a problem. I have great internet but too many wireless devices for my router. I was tired of my firestick and game console lagging due to internet traffic. Slow your roll... I have 5 people living in my house. That's 5 TV's that stream shows, 5 phones, 3 tablets, about 4 computers + a bunch of wireless camera's and smart home devices. All that throughput causes some slowness when everyone is using it. I bought this to get the fastest speeds. I hooked it up behind my TV (after running a CAT6 cable) to use for my PS4 and Firestick. It worked well for that and no problems with performance at all. I recently added a router to this switch that controls a good portion of the devices listed above. This thing is working great to handle it all. Haven't noticed any performance outside of throttling from the servers.

I liked this switch because it is cheap, has lights on the front and connections on the back, and it has holes for a screw mount (can rotate 90 deg when mounting if you want) so I can side mount it inside my desk. Hard to find all those things on a switch!! I bought this really to clean up inside my desk, it was a mess with the old switch just sitting on the bottom of the desk along with the router, modem, power strip, wires, computer.... really helped to make it much more organized and easy to work.

It's not top quality, it can't handle a lot of switching throughput, however if you just need to connect some simple networked devices it works well and can easily be hidden away since it is so small. I would not use it for low latency games or devices that make a lot of requests at the same time, but it is perfect for IOT devices, sensors, test equipment, and other general lightweight uses.
