In the past 30 years I've had several trucks and installed several different type bed covers. Mainly the folding or retractable types so I have a basic knowledge of how they install. I bought a couple Retrax covers for well beyond twice the price. Like the above review, the directions aren't a lot of help but the pictures do offer some insight. That with prior experience I was able to install it in about 90 minutes. I've got to say, the materials appear quality. Lock works well. There are 4 drains. Overkill. There's no such thing as waterproof...I use it to keep my property out of sight and reasonably secure and for the price, I am hopeful. Time will tell.

No issues with the look or initial quality of the product; it's got a nice finish and boasts seemingly solid construction. The instructions were perfectly clear, easy to follow, and installation was easy enough. Now, let's talk about the reason why I gave it two stars. While it "fits," it's astoundingly far from appearing like it was made to fit the Silverado it's advertised or pictured to fit; definitely a bit catawampis. The rails don't line up with the truck bed, so it ends up looking like the Wish.com version of the tonneau cover you were supposed to get. It's disappointing, even more so because you won't know how janky it looks until you either blow money on getting it installed or waste your time assembling it and installing it yourself. I definitely want to return it, but I also don't want to go through the trouble of disassembling it and hunting down something to send it back in, because of course the box and packaging is completely destroyed. Anyhow, all that to say, in a world full of options, do yourself a favor and pick something else, especially for how much you're spending. Now, if you come across this critter on sale for $300 - $400, go crazy, because it will ultimately work. As is, I simply can't recommend it.

I purchased this with hesitation. Instructions are not worth the paper they are printed on, they are in Chinese. Took about 2.5 hours to install, I’m sure would be quicker with adequate instructions. Product seems to be good and functional, have had a rain to test the drains yet.

Do not buy this product its a nightmare on a 2020 chevy 1500 to get it to function properly, tail gate cover has to be cut for latch clearance and rope release mount hits back of tailgate basically locking you out of your bed
