I wanted a lightweight, easily portable ladder. This fit that bill with one of the best prices I found shopping this and other sites. I think most of the reviews referencing flimsy (or not sturdy) about this ladder or any other telescoping ladder are misguided from a lack of understanding physics, mechanics, etc. If you're looking for an absolute rigid ladder look at other types, but don't expect to store them in small closet or easily carry in the trunk of a car.

The media could not be loaded. Sorry for the shaky video. It's really difficult to film while lifting a ladder using only one hand. It can be done! Each rung of this ladder clicks into place so you can opt to expand as many or as few rungs as you need. Alert, alert, finger-crushing alert! I suspect that there are no safety features once I slide the "unlock" pins on each rung and I was right! I unlocked one of the middle rungs and WHAM the rung collapsed into its original position. For each subsequent rung, I stick my elbow in there to prevent the rung from collapsing while my two hands are used to unlock both latches on each side. It's a bit clumsy. I think somebody might get hurt. Use beware!!!

Omg, I love this ladder! I don't have a garage and only a small shed so any ladders larger than 6-7 feet wouldn't fit anywhere and I didn't want to leave them outside which is why I have been driving 1/2 hour each way everytime I have to borrow one (for Christmas lights, getting kitty out of the tree, trimming branches so they don't ruin my roof, etc.) since I can't justify getting my own large one when I have no where to put it. Which brings me to this ladder. It was so lightweight in the box it came in that I was surprised there was a ladder inside of it! My 11 year old brought it in by himself from the porch with no qualms. Then it was so so easy to get it to extend. I am so in love with this! The only warning I give to others is that it is really easy to pinch your fingers in this so be careful when opening and closing it. Other than that thus ladder is perfect! Would highly recommend

Have been looking forward to trying as a our big bulky ladder had broken. Was completely amazed at how easy this was to extend and retract. When you first get one it (I’m 240 pounds) was unsure it was going to be safe, that first step gives just a little (ever so slightly) and with each step you feel it compress down providing increasing stability. Didn’t wiggle or feel like it was going to slide away for the house. Retracted and tucked away in a closet (it’s that compact). The boots have several angle supports. The only thing I would have like to see was a leg leveraging ability for uneven surfaces. This gets a solid 5 stars for ease of use alone! On a side note: these look identical to the ladders used in the movie “The Meg” in the submersibles?? Thought it was an interesting observation and had to share.

I was pleasantly surprised by how adjustable the height can be adjusted up to 8'5" and then add your height and you have a lot of height. Being aluminum, there won't be any rust, which is a big problem where I live, near the ocean and sometimes rainy. The strap used to keep the ladder together when stored or being moved around is strong and stable. I like that I can fit this ladder into my small car to take with me when needed. I think I could even strap this to a bicycle.
