Love this ladder, it reaches everywhere I needed. 1) hooks left marks on wall, I installed 2 foam tubes made from heating pipe insulation, no more marks and now protects soft surfaces! 2) There are youtube videos on lowering the ladder without pinched fingers or banging or dropping too fast. Start at the lowest rung, Release ONE (1) latch while holding up the 2nd to next rung and then gently let some movement down, then release the other latch (it won't release if there is too much pressure on it, if that is the case, gently raise the rung back up, but if you goo too far, the other latch will relatch and you will need to start over again) and slowly lower the ladder, keep doing this until all rungs are down. Works great... no pinched fingers, no slamming down! ... show more

Bought this as a temporary solution for my tiny house which didn't include a ladder. Wondering if I should just keep using it because it works so well!! It collapses so I can store it in a closet, is sturdy enough to hold me as I climb up 9 or 10 feet, and the hooks up top and padding on the bottom are ideal for keeping it from scooting around. The reason why I rated four stars is because collapsing the ladder is quite scary -- I recommend putting it on its side on the floor/ground and using one foot and one hand to push the clasps in, and the second hand to push the rungs towards you. Likes- Solid RV ladders for both interior and exterior (8ft purchase) for 10 ft tall trailer. Non slip. Hooks a must if using for bunks. Hooks come off or turn for a flat wall. 8ft works as a 4ft inside and doubles for outside. Like locking velcro strap. Travels upright, attached to bunk over very bumpy roads and stays put. Love it for kids and husband is 210lb, felt he could stand on it. Seemed sturdy. Wouldn’t tell him to go higher then 5-6ft. Dislikes- Can pinch fingers if you do not read directions or see “pictures”. Lay it sideways before putting down or you WILL PINCH OR SLAM fingers. Adults should raise and lower. As an adult, I also almost slapped them between rungs even knowing it would happen. The release buttons are quick. You can’t react. And the slam is fast. ALWAYS LOWER WHILE SIDEWAYS WITH TWO PEOPLE. Practice slowly. Secure with strap. But I really like it, It is not a toy. Super sturdy. Would buy again. ... show more

I just bought a house and needed a ladder. Local hardware stores offered less ladder for a higher cost. Very happy I found this one. The telescoping aspect makes it so portable and compact. I do really like that feature. However, I can see how someone might lose an appendage because if you don't pay attention and slide the little black bars over with a finger in the way you could potentially guillotine it off. BUT, that aside, 100% satisfied and also think the hooks on top that rotate make a lovely addition to the safety of this ladder. Would purchase again. 5 stars (all fingers included) ... show more

I purchased it for access into my attic. It is perfect for that use. This is not a heavy duty regular use ladder. I am 180 lbs. I do not recommend this latter for regular outdoor use if you are over 200lbs. The angle of the ladder should not be less than 70 degrees on a wall. Ladder works as advertised, used it to replaced the Bulky ladder that comes with an rv. This is light, takes up no space. If I had one complaint, it would be I should have ordered the larger one and did away with the mounted rv ladder.

This little guy works beautifully. I have beating this thing up but it works like new. It came with two extra tabs but I haven’t needed them. I’ve really been abusing it. I wish I knew if I could leave it on my roof rack but I’m unsure about it left in the weather… but it’s been great!
