I got this for my mother and sister who live in a 450 sq ft space. It is working well. I was impressed with the supplies that came with it and the ease of set up. The reason I didn't give it a fifth star is we have only had it a week. We will see how long it lasts. It is fairly quiet, we have it set at 72 and it is cooling nicely, and it is neatly put together. I thought it was a bit pricey but if it we will see if it lives up to what I paid for it. Oh and FedEx is who delivered and damaged the unit. They kicked it out of the truck and left it upside down at the bottom of my driveway. Headed to FedEx now to report it. ... show more

This unit was installed exactly as directed. It ran perfectly for 10 minutes. After that, a “FL” which stands for fluid level code appeared and it shut down. Drained the unit into a bucket ON THE INSIDE OF THE HOUSE and restarted. Ten minutes later, same issue. This unit will not run for more than 10 minutes without manually draining…. SERIOUSLY?? Have requested a refund from the third party seller. Hopefully that will go better. Huge waste of time and money in the middle of a hot summer. I am beyond NOT pleased. Don’t bother with this one. This was my biggest concern with a traditional window unit—they block so much light and make the room feel like a cave. The U-shape design is a stroke of genius. The AC sits lower in the window, so I retain a full view of my backyard and all the natural light. The installation was a bit more involved than a standard box unit due to the bracket, but the instructions were clear and the included foam side panels seal much better than the flimsy plastic accordion ones on my old unit. I bought 2 units, one of the units did not drain to the outside but stopped working with and error code. I had to drain it every 20 minutes in a bucket inside the room. Also it only blew air out of the one side. I contacted the seller that immediately responded. They made a big effort to resolve my problem. I can not say enough of their outstanding customer care.
