1,000 times impressed, especially at this price. If I had 10 front doors I'd buy 10 of these locks. Has proven super useful and user-friendly, my 4 year old daughter easily opens our door. Auto-lock feature can be set to 99 seconds which is awesome - We never have to manually lock our door and quick trips to get mail don't require us to type in a code upon re-entry. For the price this unit feels well made and comes with plenty of hardware to install in a standard door. It has bare bones features but I don’t mind that at all, I didn’t need a lock connected to the Internet. The instructions are in understandable English, with only a few errors. One error is on initial learning, the instructions say to press reset and wait for a beep prior to inserting the fourth battery. The beep never happens. Instead just be sure to hold the reset and go ahead and insert the fourth battery. You’ll hear the lock calibrate and then beep. Another thing the instructions say is that you’ll know the battery is low when the battery light comes on. Thing is, there is NO battery light that I can find. So I’m guessing the main light under the keypad will just blink red a lot when the time comes. As far as looks, it is quite modern and I’ll be upgrading my door handle to match it. The keypad buttons feel sturdy and light up nicely. I do wish the keypad panel came with a rubber gasket to help with keeping water out. Update: I was experiencing a lot of friction (the thumbturn is hard to turn, or the motor will not move the deadbolt), despite the deadbolt moving freely before I installed the mounting plate. It was baffling why the final steps of mounting were causing friction. After a lot of trial and error I discovered that the mounting screws are threading themselves into the metal of the deadbolt holes. The mounting screws should pass through them, but instead were threading themselves into the deadbolt, therefore causing the deadbolt to get misaligned. The misalignment causes friction for the deadbolt and can even cause the unit to not function properly. Once I realized this was happening, it was easy to avoid if you know what to look for. ... show more

I was looking for a cheaper alternative than the super expensive keypad deadbolts found at the big box stores. Install was very easy. I jumped ahead on the instructions a couple times and had to reset to factory code before I could change it to my own code. But now works great. You have to hold the number 2 for a second or two to make it lock. Took me a while to figure that out with the instructions. Will continue to buy this brand ... show more

Almost the entire lock except for some internal components are plastic. I was concerned about how easy this would be to break and to get into the house but I believe that the internal components make it about comparable to the soft metal found in other locks of this type. It’s cool looking the numbers light up at night and it works flawlessly. You have to make sure that you align the deadbolt with the old deadbolt hole. This never seems to work. So you have to do some work to make sure that the hall aligns and opens and closes completely smoothly. That’s because this lock is motorized. It pushes or pulls the deadbolt open or closed. Other locks disengage the lock and you must turn the handle. So far so good we will see how fast it eats through batteries. Keep in mind it does not recommend rechargeable batteries. I installed it on my main door and we will see what happens. I will update this review after I’ve used it for a few months. ... show more
