I've always used razor mechanical keyboards, razor black widow tournament edition, Razor Black Widow X Chroma, and the Corsair Strafe, now I'm using this, the TECWARE Phantom 104 Mechanical Keyboard, 104 RGB LED, Outemu Red Switch Mechanical keyboard. Keys feel so much better, I like the sound more too because the loud razor switches just were obnoxiously loud to me after a while. These switches, the Outemu Red switches, feel nice and sound nice. Honestly, I really can't tell the difference between the Cherry switches and the Outemu Reds, it's a personal preference I guess? I wasn't sure if I was going to even notice the keys being faster, but honestly, I could tell right away. I play WoW and Overwatch a lot, and I also play mainly Star Wars Battlefront 2 and Call of Duty 4. Everything reacts a lot faster and my game feels a lot smoother now, placebo effect idk but I love this keyboard., and after owning Razor and Corsair keyboards most of my gaming life, I can honestly say this is a lot better quality. The RGB features are very good too, not super bright, but bright enough, and the Phantom software makes it easy to change the colors, effects, per key macros, etc. The only gripe that I have is I wish this keyboard could have a set of dedicated media keys on the upper top right or even a volume control wheel would be nice. Still, though this keyboard gets a solid 5 stars, I'll update this in the future to see how it holds up. ... show more

This thing is a fantastic value. Very solid and heavy frame with unlimited color customization brings this keyboard into the $80-$125 competition for much less. The unboxing experience is actually impressive for a budget keyboard. It comes in a matte black box and wrapped in a light foam skin. Inside, you'll find the keyboard with 6ft braided cord, owner's manual, several replacement keys (not caps, actual keys) and the key removal tool. Indeed underneath the board is the cap removal tool, so it's always handy to locate. The board itself has a premium feel in the hand. It has an unexpected heft and the caps are securely mounted to the keys. There's no wobble or rattles in them. The braided cord features a gold plated USB connector that's capped, and the cap is tethered to the cord as not to get lost. Additionally, the cord is wrapped with a Velcro strap which can be reused for cable management after installation. Speaking of, installation is a breeze. Simply plug and play, there's no need for additional drivers or software (at least with Windows 10 Pro, I cannot speak for other OS's). The manual guides you through the basic function key combos that allow you to choose from several different and very well thought out RGB patterns and brightness. If you desire to further customize your board, there is a free download that allows you to customize each preset pattern or color every single cap differently to your liking. In my pics, you'll notice I chose to highlight some keys red to assist with gaming. If brown or blue Outenu keys aren't to your liking, the keys are replaceable and will fit cherry MX keys for more customization. I purchased the brown Outenu board, and was very impressed with the feel and sound of the stroke. There's a tactile response about halfway through the press, but no audible click until the key bottoms out. There's plenty of YouTube videos about these keys, and a few moments of digging will give you more of an insight into them. Overall, I'm a fan. You will be too! **2 YEAR UPDATE** After two years of everyday use, this keyboard still works like new. I've had to replace one switch which took all of 90 seconds. ... show more

So i had been using a stock keyboard from dell (mechanical I'm pretty sure) and wanted a new keyboard for a good long time to game on. I watch a lot of youtubers reviewing budget or good value RGB keyboards and saw this beauty in one of them. I truly believe this keyboard is well worth more than the money spent! PROS: 1. No extra downloads needed! Works straight out of the box and RGB works with ps4 as well! (I use it for FFXlV) 2. 18 different lighting effects, transparent letters/characters and meta backplate just adds to the lighting of the keyboard. 3. No annoying ugly logos or branding ontop of the keyboard that would disgust ones view of its beauty (like other keyboards). I love the fact they kept it simple and placed it infront with just "Phantom" in white. I love the company for doing this for it!!! 4. A giant reason I picked this keyboard was its MODULAR switches!! I figured if I didnt like the feel of the switch (for I have never used a cherry switch, just mechanical so I have no frame of reference) or if one broke, that I could just buy some at a cheap price and just replace it. (also comes with 4 extra switches) 5. This keyboard is built like a tank... There is no play or warping with this keyboard unless you really want to try to break it. Its raised keys just allows it to be cleaned easily without any struggles! Cons: 1. Its built like a freaking tank for keyboards...... I'm glad it doesnt feel like a cheap keyboard and feels like its already at brand quality already. I was just surprised at how much it weighed but its not like I'm going to take it place to place. 2. Kinda sad that I wanted a solid color of a certain purple to compliment my mouse pad and mmo mouse.... but this keyboard offers way more than I anticipated so I can live with it. I'll just stay with the too pink of purple color that it offers. 3. This is on me more than this keyboard! I never used switches before but I heard RED switches were good for long gaming sessions..... But I guess a lot of gamers have weak fingers or something..... these switches could never tire my fingers (a good thing for long sessions) and easy to press for each finger. I plan on buying different switches to replace the keys I use and this brings us back to a PRO where this keyboard is modular and interchangeable (I love this fact)! If you're in the market for a really good RBG keyboard, I give this keyboard a high recommendation for all the benefits it provides! ... show more
