Quality materials, well made!

I am very happy with this duffel. The fabric and handles are strong and sturdy. The zippers work well and seem like they will last a long time. The outside pockets are a good size- I used one for my toiletries bag and the other for socks and underwear. The inside compartment is a good size- I was able to fit all the clothes I needed and one pair of shoes. I was looking for the perfect medium size and this was just right. I have tried larger ones but they never work out- I pack too much and then they are too heavy. This one holds everything I need but not too much! I liked the choice of colors- some classic ones and some bright fun ones. I bought purple! I took it on a two week trip- packed it full, carried it in and out of hotels- and really gave it a good test. Everything worked great and held up beautifully. I would recommend it with confidence.

Works for my needs

The reviews of this bag were mixed so I was a little hesitant to buy it. However, it had everything I was looking for in the price range I wanted so I decided to give it a shot. I'm glad I did because it worked perfectly for my needs. Keep in mind, I wasn't looking for the highest quality or stylish bag. This was for my mother to go across town every weekend to visit her grandson. After a couple of months, it had held up and my mother hasn't complained about the bag. My mother was a little picky and passed up on some other bags. She didn't want a large bag and wanted enough pockets for her small items. She wanted to spend under $20 without getting something extremely flimsy. The bag doesn't look bad, but it doesn't look like the highest quality either. However, it seems to be built fine for light use. It has a large main pocket, two zippered pockets on either side, and a small zippered pocket on front. If it had any small pockets inside the main compartment, I wouldn't know as I didn't look that closely. The material seems water resistant but not waterproof. We didn't have any real need for a waterproof section so I don't know if it has one, but I doubt that it does. There is no separate shoe compartment. I think the only thing I'd change is that the strap's hooks aren't swivel-type. That's a pretty small criticism overall. I haven't found any reason not to recommend this bag. You just have to consider your criteria and expectations. Perhaps the mixed reviews means the consistency of quality is hit or miss. For what it's worth, I must have received a good bag.

So one year later and still going strong.

I have had this bag for over a year now (haha, just getting around to reviewing). I have used it daily and had found it to be pretty reliable. I can fit a lot in in it. What I love the most is how spacious it is and the two side compartments are perfect for shoes. What I liked the least is that after time one of the strap clips broke so that it is like a hook and the strap needs to be re attached ever so often. I jimmied it so that it stays put better now. Other than that I love it, and it has endured much use and still going pretty strong. I will say, that I often keep multiple changes of clothes and sometime use it as an overnight bag as a commuter. The downsize is that it can be a tight fit in some lockers, but is fine keeping it in your trunk. Also the zippers have wholes so you can lock your bag.

Works exactly what I needed it for

I have the "Large" sized Everest Luggage sport bag (exactly the same design) as this one, and the dimensions on that one is 21 x 12 x 11 in size. This one is 20 x 9 x 9 in size, but side by side it looks considerably smaller and more compact. The only other differences between the 2 is that the larger one has a much larger/longer front pocket on the outside, but the smaller one (this one) has a mesh pocket on both ends. The large bag only has the mesh pocket on one side, and for me that makes a considerable difference since I like to put my keys, phone, watch, and wallet in those mesh pockets when I'm at the gym. The only other difference is that this smaller bag shoulder strap doesn't have a swivel, whereas the large bag shoulder strap did have a swivel which did come in handy. I bought this bag to be used as a simple gym bag, transporting my shoes and clothes. The large bag did this well but was a bit too big and I had a lot of empty space not used. This smaller bag is much more compact and fits into the lockers at my gym much better without having to crunch the bag up or put it in the lock at an angle, like I had to do with the large bag. Yet, this bag still holds everything and more that I need it to for my normal gym visits with shoes and a change or clothes and some towels. The large bag was better when I needed to carry my kickboxing gear (gloves, shin guards, headgear) as I could stuff all of that into the large bag. In the small bag, I can stuff a pair of 16oz boxing gloves and my size 12 shoes into the main compartment, but it's a tight fit.

Excellent bag for such a low price

We love this bag. It is the perfect size for a kids sleepover, sports bag, or adult overnight or gym bag. My 9 year old uses it for a dance bag. She keeps her shoes in both end zipper pockets and hair accessories in the front pocket. The inside compartment holds a weeks worth of leotards and tights. Everything has its place and is easy to find. Excellent value. The quality fabric, zippers and number of compartments ia much better than you would expect at this price point. We plan to purchase more, but only wish they offered more colors.

As a normal gym bag - it works. But try to keep anything in the side pockets and the zippers will fail you pretty quickly. In all honesty, I bought this bag nearly 2 years ago - but used it maybe 2 or 3 times in the beginning and found it to be too bulky to regularly use. Then I started carrying more gear more recently and pulled this out of the closet. I use it 3 days a week, I keep a change of clothes, my protein drink shakers (2), a pair of sandals, a pair of gloves, wraps, and usually a small towel, +/- a hoodie. At no point is the bag too full, I could definitely fit more things in it if I tried. However, I rarely get to use the side pockets anymore as the zippers do that thing where they open despite being zipped so you end up having to fight with the zipper to "open" it, get the zipper back the starting point and re-zip it closed. It's not a HUGE hassle, but it's enough of one that makes it frustrating to use when all your stuff starts falling out because you grabbed the bag out of your car wrong. Would I recommend it - yes and no. Yes, if you need something cheap and easy to carry your stuff in and you don't carry a lot of stuff. No, if you're a regular gym go-er and expect your bag to (ever)last with all your gear in it. Spend the extra cash on something better, you won't regret it.

Love this duffle!

Love the size (fits in my locker at the Y), roominess, durability, all the pockets. The shoulder strap is comfortable and I like that there is a velcro piece to keep the the hand straps together. After 9 years, finally replaced my duffle that I take to the pool nearly every day and was thrilled to find that they still had the same one. The outside to the bag held up great. All zippers still worked fine and the hardware was still good. After 9 years of suits and shoes with chlorine water inside, it had started to leak through the bottom slightly so I decided to replace it. Still usable for dry items. Would highly recommend.

Love this Bag

I've used the hell out of this bag. It goes everywhere with me. Car, plane, train. Upon the first use, one of the metal strap holders got caught on a plane seat and snapped right off. I just pulled out a zip tie, used that instead, and it's been fine ever since. I suggest adding zipties on all the strap clips to reinforce them ahead of time, and you should be all set to go. For the price, I've definitely got my moneys worth out of this bag
