I have purchased two Techage Smart WiFi security cameras recently and am very pleased with both of them. A major reason for my satisfaction is that the directions for installation were clear and informative. Often the technological products we purchase are poorly worded or explained. This was not. It was refreshing to receive directions and diagrams which made logical sense. It was helpful and relatively simple. The installation itself was wonderful because the cameras are solar-powered. Having the ability to position the cameras practically anywhere was so convenient. No wires to run, no need for hiring an electrician to run wires underground so that a power source could be used. I'm pleased with the quality of the camera lens. It's clear and bright and captures a fine, wide-angle view of the areas I wish to surveil. I placed one of them in a garden area. It often catches sight of some interesting birds as they land by a nearby feeding area. The other camera is on a post and slightly concealed. It captures the front walkway and porch entry so that the motion detection may alert me that someone has approached the door and will be likely to ring the bell. The cameras both have many operational features involving sound and choices for whether to allow notifications or not. The manual came with ample explanations for why the camera might at certain times not function ass usual. My Internet and router are both wireless, which does mean that there will be times when a signal delay occurs. Overall, I'm very happy with these cameras. I choose not to e-mail photographs from these cameras. I am a private person and do not wish to reveal my home's appearance or certain features of my garden area which might be recognized by the wrong people. One of the cameras is neatly hidden but a photograph from it would potentially give away its location. Sincerely, Ralph Montgomery

I've had 2 of these cameras for nearly a month now. I was seriously impressed with the clarity day OR night. Installation and connectivity is a breeze. I was starting to get concerned because one of them was charging very slow. 3 full days of sun and it still hadn't even made it to 90%...even with motion sensor off. It finally got full charge and hasn't dropped below 92%...even after 3 straight days of rain. There are 3 levels of motion sensor sensitivity which I change for day and night. During the day I also learned to turn off the notifications....between birds, squirrels, and traffic it was driving me crazy..lol. I like the fact that it records to the cloud and/or sd card. My wifi went down for 4hrs one night, but activity still recorded to the sd cards. You can access cloud AND the sd's through the app on your phone/device. You can also watch live with the app. I got my cameras on an Amazon flash deal, but after a month of use I feel that they are definitely worth the regular price.

This camera is fantastic. Great value for the price! I bought it to watch my chicken coop. We've watched opossums, raccoons, birds, and a variety of other wildlife. We set it in a tree in the spring and watched a pair of morning does hatch. Our BEST surprise was watching a rabbit feed her babies! Love the crisp image, night vision, etc. I don't worry about it out in the elements. I send this link to my friends so they can buy one for their family. Highly recommend.

I thought this camera would be good for monitoring the entrance of the building and it works fine for that. More than that the pictures are very clear and defined. It all ends there. AI did not divulge that anything that comes within camera vision sensors will be snapped and recorded. Every darn fly, mosquito or whatever is flying out there. It does not record people entering or leaving the building. I did not subscribe to their app because it is too expensive. Leaving it on Motion detection will deplete the charge in 72 hours or less. The camera charge does not last long when Motion detection is in place. Knowing all of this I do not recommend this camera for other than a Live view. Nice camera but not the best.

I got this camera for one purpose: to try to detect where mice are entering my house at night. The night vision is excellent - I thought I would need extra lighting, but it turns out this is so sensitive that it can operate very well in very low light conditions (in black-and-white HD mode). While I haven't yet found the mice's entry point, the motion sensor did trigger a couple of times when a mouse ran past. There's a lot to like about this camera - it seems pretty solid, the picture quality is excellent, it is water proof, and the motion detection seems to work well both day and night (with the caveat that I haven't really played around with daytime use). The only drawback is that you are sort of locked in to getting a paid prescription to their proprietary service if you want to use this for the typical security camera purpose - i.e., if you want to be alerted when someone approaches your front door, and talk to them via the speaker, etc. There's no way to use a third party service, or to obtain the recorded videos any other way than by using their own service (although i believe it has a SD card slot). The basic service is free, but it won't send you alerts.
