this set brought me back to the excitement I had when I was a kid. waiting to get home only to see a big beautiful box of pieces. the figures are so unique and this set is super fun to build. I'm so glad MEGA released another phantom since I missed my chance to get the last one.

    • Great set with a few engineering flaws
This is probably my favorite Halo Mega set so far, the shape and color are striking and the figures included are awesome. Unfortunately, several play features advertised are basically unusable -- the hinging roof, for example; the clutch power of the fastener exceeds the clutch power of the support walls, meaning it will break every time you try to open it this way. Fortunately, side hatches are generously large and I believe you can fully enjoy playing with the interior of this phantom while totally ignoring the opening roof. The turrets mounted in those side hatches, unfortunately, are also extremely fragile. They pop off their support beams with the gentlest swivel. A simple addition of a 1x2 plate from your collection will shore up their connection and you're off to the races. All in all, glad Mega got around to making this vehicle and it looks and plays great with the exception of the above. I honestly would have skipped the hinging roof feature all together, and it's easy enough to live without. ... show more
