I'm using mine indoors. It resides in my dining room. It replaced a metal fountain that eventually rusted through at the base and cracked off when I went to move it. This one surpasses it on multiple levels. The metal one would splash a very little water but nothing that warranted me not to be able to use it indoors. I bought this for my husband’s office and it’s very attractive. There’s nearly no assembly and it is exactly the measurements as described which is perfect for the small space. I’m very happy with the purchase though I must say since We put the ours in the corner of the room with nearly no traffic so we aren’t too concerned. However if you’re planning to put this in a place that it could potentially be bumped I would reconsider purchasing. I love this water fountain. I have it in my bedroom and the water is very soothing when going to sleep at night. The motor is quiet. The lights do not turn off. There is no video to putting this together so you just have to read the instructions to figure it out.
