Don’t use substrate or carpet. Buy this. Super easy to spot clean. Nothing really sticks to it too bad. Very easy to clean. I use the gray one. Hasn’t gotten stained yet.

I thought I wouldn't like this because but its better than any of the other options for my bearded dragon, easy to keep clean. Also can use for extra insulation layed on top of the tank to cover the screen if more heat in the tank is necessary. Great purchase!

This was easy to cut to fit my tank, and is easy to keep clean, but is just too danged slippery! I tried covering my tortie's hideaway with it, too, but it was too slippery to climb on. And he loves to climb, but keeps tipping over on his back or his side and the mat is so slippery he can't get any leverage to right himself.
