I've become a complete convert on these TCL TV's. I use this TV on my back patio and it offers incredible value for the money. I run the entire TV off the home wifi and the Google system and apps work flawlessly. The picture is brighter and nicer than previous versions and I believe the sound might have even improved. One note is that previous TCL's that I have owned operated on Roku system. Great tv for the price. The only issue I have is I need to get an updated cable box. Mine is an older box and we can’t sync the cable remote to the tv. As far as the tv goes great clear crisp picture. Sound is like your in a movie theater. Love it

4k picture quality is vivid, bright. Anything less than 4k is not bad but it is duller and not as vivid a picture. I get a better picture on my older LED 1080p TV's watching 1080p and lower resolution than this TV. What I mean is it will look more washed out on lower resolution video. I went thru adjusting various things. Online reviews also mention SDR content is not great on the TV. To make Alexa control TV, goto APPS on this TV and open the works with Alexa App, you will get the pair code. On the Phone, in Aexa app under skills TCL assistant, and put in the pair code. Alexa will setup the TV and it works for voice commands. The seller really needs to fix their ad title? "support for Dolby Vision"?? Every Dolby Vision video, tv says is HDR 10. Dolby Vision requires 12 bit color and this tv is only HDR10, not HDR10+ so the tv is 10 bit color. When they say support Dolby Vision, only means it will show it as HDR10 is what it seems to me. ... show more

I know most people don't use their TVs flat on a recycled gaming desk frame like this, but this was the use case for this monitor. I needed a 43" 4K monitor and this TCL Google TV was the perfect one. The biggest feature that this TV has that I like is the fact that you can set it to remember the last input when powering up. As a result, I don't have to switch out of the Smart TV mode in order to get the monitor connected to the Computer. Not all TVs do this and not all TCL TVs do this. As for the display, the picture quality is amazing, I've set it up for low latency, high contrast, and vivid colors. It makes the virtual pinball tables look fantastic. There is no smearing when the ball is moving all over the table, lights flashing, and flippers going wild. Value is great as well. I did WAY too much research on TVs and found this to be a great value for the size, the 4K picture quality, and the 240Hz Motion Rate which helps with the rapidly moving images. Shipping was fast and well done. Packaging is typical for TVs nowadays, slim box with accessories on the top. No damage in shipping, all worked beautifully out of the box.     • Google TV has a very different setup than the ROKU TV.

I took the GoggleTV out of the box, set it up, and discovered many vast differences between the Google TV and ROKU setup, which I completely abhorred. I then put the TV back into the box and returned it the very next day. Some people may feel the exact opposite about ROKU TV vs. Google, and I honestly say, "Good for you, to each their own; more power to you." I, for one, completely hate the Google TV format. The TV worked perfectly, and everything looked great. If you like the Google TV format, this TV is a great pick. I suggest going to a store with some TVs on display and messing around with them for a few minutes before buying one, as the different platforms are very different nowadays. Amazon's return process for electronics is a bit terrible lately so I would be 100% sure about electronic purchases before buying from Amazon. It took 5 weeks to get my refund, of which the refund date was extended twice, that's absolutely terrible customer service!!!!! ... show more

What a great TV I have a hung on my wall and watch it every day. Great picture love Google TV. The only issue I had was the batteries and that came for the remote were dead and had to replace them right away at first. I thought maybe there was a problem with the remote, but it was just batteries.

This is a great TV for such a low price. Set up was easy. During the set up process, we were given the option to use it as a standard TV or a Google smart TV. One thing to consider is that It does lack RCA inputs or outputs so you won't be able to use your outdated DVD/CD player or Cassette deck. (If it wasn't outdated before you started setting the TV up, they will be soon.) The TV does have one 1/8" jack stereo audio output so you can run the audio to your home entertainment system. The Dolby audio and video processing enhances the overall viewing experience. The UHD screen is vibrant, sharp, and refresh is fast! I like the border-less, edge to edge viewing area. I am pleased with my purchase and will keep TCL in mind next time I need a TV. ... show more

CONS: The WiFi receiver built into the TV is very weak and the processing power of this TV is also weak. PROS: bright clear hi def screen, loud and clear audio. Explaination: Gets poor signal from a very strong WiFi. And the internal speed of the professor is pretty slow.
