For the price, this is a great little TV. Incredibly easy to set up. Basically a plug 'n play after it searches and finds your WiFi connection! Just click on the installed channels to accept the ones you want. TONS of free stuff & there are others with options to purchase. The only negative things to mention are 1. The remote is tiny and the volume/mute buttons are in an awkward spot on the top right side. It would be more convenient to have them on the front so accidentally hitting the vol/mute buttons didn't happen. 2. Sound quality isn't as sharp as it ought to be. The volume can be vastly higher or lower between channels, too. But the muffled tone is there on all of them. It's not just me, as I also have a similar sized Sony in my living room and the difference is definitely noticeable. A separately purchased sound bar might help. All things considered, I'm still pleased with my purchase and would more than likely purchase a TCL again. ... show more

    • Affordable and just right!
I was a little skeptical at first when I saw the price of this product. Very lightweight I could pick it up with one hand. I actually wondered at first was it a real television? Lol I actually thought it was larger and I was pleased that it was exactly the size I wanted to put in my bookshelf in my bedroom. I’m not a TV watcher occasionally I do watch when My granddaughter, May come Over she likes to watch TV in the bedroom, which is where I placed the television. I was pleased. This tv was a very good investment. When I opened it up I was shocked at how big it actually is. It seems to be bigger than 32 inches. I’m disabled so I’m on a limited income so I don’t have cable or internet. I used my Wi-Fi hotspot on my phone to set it up. You need to set up a Roku account (which is free) it asks you for credit card information to pay for any channels like HBO or Showtime but I skipped that part because I don’t want to pay for more stuff. They also want you to download the Roku app, (which is also free) and it shows all the movies and tv shows you can watch for free. There is a ton of them. Then there is a section to set up any devices that you wish to hook up to your tv, like DVD player, game consoles and so on. Then you set up the tv part where it searches for the channels from cable or in my case, the antenna. It found 56 channels on my antenna. That’s more channels than I previously had. The setup was super easy, the tv is really lightweight, the picture and sound quality is exceptional and the size is perfect. I am very pleased with this purchase and I’m excited to use it. I just got it today so I haven’t really had time to explore everything yet. But so far I love it !! UPDATE: I have had this tv for a long time now and I have had zero issues. Love the feature where you can attach a thumb drive to enable pause, rewind and forward from paused. Also like that after rewind, the captions appear. So, if you've rewound because you didn't understand, the captions help. The remote mute button is too easy to touch when trying to change the volume, thereby muting instead of turning up. Worse feature is that the remote doesn't have numbers on it to go to channel. The tv doesn't have buttons, so that if I were near enough I could to turn on/off or change volume. Overall, I like the tv, but I would definitely want one with buttons on the set, and numbers on the remote.. ... show more

    • Just what I wanted
This was the 2nd tv ordered. The first one arrived with a cracked screen. But it’s replacement arrived 2 days later and is working great in my guest room. Amazon is amazing! Two comments 1 the remote needs to be pointed to the center of the set. Guess I’d gotten use to just pointing in the general direction but this was a very reasonable priced tv and I am happy. 2. The tape they put around the edge stuck to the screen in a couple places and had to be fingernail picked off. But again very small issue. That’s why 5 stars. The picture and sound are very good. I just needed an inexpensive set for occasional use I was able to quickly attach the already installed wall mount. Very happy ... show more
