I was able to use the mount, and it does work nicely. However, look at the picture attached. The directions show this piece mounted in reverse- (the amazon logo needs to be pointed towards the TV, so you can't see it when mounted). Doing it their way makes it impossible to hang. You also definitively need 2 people to hang this. I've mounted 6 TVs previously and this was the biggest PITA so far. Lastly, my old Samsung has a bulge @ the bottom, so I had to take the parts to the miter saw and cut it short. (See second photo). ... show more

    • The bars stick out from below the Fire TV Omni 55
The mount itself works exactly as described - full motion. The installation process was easy with a template and clear instructions. The only reason I took out 2 stars is because this does not work well for the Fire TV Omni series 55 inch. The bars stick out from below the TV: You can see that the bars on the mount look like an X. On a Fire TV Omni 55, the mounting is done at the lower end of the TV. The net result is that the 2 bottom parts of the X project out below the TV and are visible from the front. This was not a dealbreaker for me since I was looking at a mounting in the garage, and so I did not want to go through the hassle of waiting for a new mount to come back. ... show more

    • Good mount just wish
The media could not be loaded. Good mount and not bad on installation but the screws adjusting the tv need to be better. Mine keep leaning forward until I used my impact drill which is sad

TV mounts are one of those things that you don’t think about once it’s installed, but the one you choose matters during installation! This is a fantastic option. Not only does it have great range of motion, allowing a TV mounted on one wall to be viewed from virtually any angle in the room, but it’s sturdy and secure. Not only that, but the instructions and packaging of the parts can’t get any better. Someone working for Amazon’s product user experience needs a raise. All parts were labeled beautifully and the instructions are detailed and thorough. There are options for every type of TV and every type of wall. There is even a bubble level built into the mount!     • Great mount, but the hardware leaves something to be desired
This is a great, easy-to-assemble mount. As others have pointed out however, the quality of the hardware leaves a bit to be desired. Basically it seems like the screws are made with a fairly soft metal and will strip out if given half a chance. Fortunately I have a ton of spare fasteners around and was able to substitute my own. Not a huge deal for me, so only -1 star, but If you're depending on this to be a complete turnkey kit you should be very very careful how you tighten things up! ... show more

Note: This review is for the 32" - 86" TV Mount. I've put up a lot of TV mounts in my time, either for myself or helping out friends and family. This AmazonBasics Full-motion TV Wall Mount is pretty good - not great. I used it to mount a pretty standard 55" Samsung LED TV in my basement and I don't regret using this mount. The TLDR version of this review is that Amazon has really put together a hugely versatile TV wall mount. But in going for maximum versatility some things were overlooked and other things are more complete than they should be. A longer review is below. >> Mounting to Wall: Most modern mounts of any quality come with handy paper templates that you can tape up on your wall after finding the wall studs. This one includes said paper template. You need basic tools to get this mount properly installed including a stud finder, drill, level, and ideally a socket set. The big negative with the mount is the limited mounting holes it comes with. The main mounting cutouts (in the wall plate) have a few inches of wiggle room where you can slide the mount in each direction to accommodate non-standard installations. However, my installation was definitely non-standard since I needed to center the mount with a wall-mounted piece of furniture. That meant I had to break out my metal drillbits and create my own mounting holes. Thankfully, the wall plate is robustly built, and adding a few extra holes doesn't compromise its integrity. >> TV Plate: This mount is compatible with a huge range of VESA-standard mounting options. My Samsung TV uses 400mm x 400mm and that's no sweat with this mount. Unlike most mounts I've used, this one uses arms that have to be affixed to the TV plate using screws with predrilled mount points. It makes installation a bit more involved but not difficult. Just be sure you know (by measuring) what the dimensions are for your TV and compare that to the instructions. >> Tilt, Swivel, and More: This mount features a plethora of adjustments to get your TV in whatever position you need. The amount of tilt, swivel, and articulation options are fantastic. That said, getting this mount perfectly level is also a bit of trial and error because there are so many adjustment screws to tighten down. >> Closing: This is a versatile mount all told with the only exemption being the wall plate. If you're intending to use this mount on walls with odd stud spacing or have a non-standard install planned, it might require modifying the wall plate as I did. The mount is more than up to the job and even when fully extended, it easily holds up my TV. Recommended! ... show more

    • Basic but sturdy!
This is great for our needs. It’s basic, budget friendly and came with all the hardware needed for instal. If you are mounting a larger or heavier tv o would recommend purchasing higher quality hardware since the ones it comes with are pretty simple. But, for our small tv it works fine.
