  • Works great
Size: 2"x32"-Black
I was very impressed with the quality and performance of this auger. I bought this to plant pine trees on my land after hurricane Helene destroyed my property and I drilled over 3000 holes over a 3 week period in bone dry hard dirt and it worked like a champ!

  • Good Auger
Size: 1.6"x16.5"-Black
I use this auger to drill pilot holes for my Gopher Hawk mole trap. It's much easier than using the spike tool that comes with a trap. Use the probe to find a tunnel and use the auger to create a nice, clean hole to set the trap in the tunnel. This auger has the perfect diameter for the Gopher Hawk. It is well made and solid. The functionality is just what I was looking for. It also was very inexpensive. It actually costs less than a replacement spike tool. The drilled hole is accurate to the size of the tool. ... show more

  • Works but be careful
Size: 2"x32"-Black
I used this to dig a hole in Texas clay soil for my Starlink mast (16 gauge corner fence galvanized steel pipe). The good: It works. The steep spiral causes it to pull down very aggressively. So go down 6 inches and then pull it out to empty the loosened dirt. Then go down another six inches and pull out the loose dirt. Repeat to desired depth. I went down 32”. The 2 3/8” outside diameter post fit snug and I needed to pound it down the last 2 ft using a 3# hammer and a scrap of 2x4 to protect the post. Perfect. The not so good. The hex collar at the end of the end of the spiral section broke free and spun in the drill chuck. But the extension section still screwed into the actual shaft of the spiral section and its end is solid. I recommend attaching the extension right at the beginning, even if only drilling a few inches for plants, to avoid damaging that hex collar. I rate this tool good enough for occasional or light duty use. If you need to be drilling lots of deep holes look for a much more stout alternative. For my one time mast installation it was inexpensive and did the job. ... show more

  • Great price
Size: 1.6"x16.5"+3"x16.5"-Black
I recently purchased the TCBWFY Auger Drill Bit for planting, and it has made gardening so much easier! The drill bit is incredibly sturdy and well-made, with a sharp, spiral design that easily digs into the soil. I’ve used it for planting flowers, vegetables, and shrubs, and it significantly speeds up the process compared to manual digging. The bit attaches easily to my power drill, and it’s lightweight enough to handle comfortably, but durable enough to handle tough soil. It drills deep and wide enough to make planting simple—no more digging holes by hand. Plus, it works well in both clay and loose soils, which is perfect for my garden. I also appreciate how it reduces the strain on my hands and back. The auger is efficient, and it cuts through the earth with minimal effort. Cleanup is quick, and the quality is top-notch—no bending or dulling after multiple uses. Overall, this auger drill bit has been a fantastic tool for my gardening projects. It saves me time and energy and makes planting more efficient. I highly recommend it for anyone looking to make their gardening tasks easier! ... show more

  • Works surprisingly well!
Size: 4"x12"-Black
Wow! I was doubtful but this thing aggressively tore a nice deep hole in cold dry dirt and even ripped through some roots that were in the way. Just be careful when putting on your drill. When you spin it to lock it down, it can bang up your hand a little. I recommend using a glove for that part. It DOES work! ... show more

  • "Buy cheap, buy twice."
Size: 2"x32"-Black
This is a two-piece garden auger. The auger is merely spot welded to the shaft of the lower section, which is about 16 in. (46 mm) long. That section ends with 3/8 in. (10 mm) hex drive that is tapped for about 1/4" or 5 mm threads. The upper extension section is slightly shorter and has make threads. After about 30 minutes of use, the threads of the extension snapped off while I was pulling the auger out of the hole. A former co-worker once told me a saying they had "back home." "Buy cheap, buy twice." Now I'm kicking myself for buying cheap because this auger had the diameter and length I needed. Too bad it's made out of cheap steel. #NotDurable ... show more

  • If you have more than a couple of trees to plant, buy this item and save your back and time.
Size: 3"x24"-Black
In the interests of wind mitigation and soil conservation we decided to plant a shelter belt at our place. After tilling and amending the soil and laying the drip irrigation lines, we shortly thereafter received word that our 350 trees and shrubs would be arriving at the local DNRC office. I had a sneak preview of what the plants looked like and realized that the root systems were more robust than I realized. I started looking for solutions that would accommodate 12+ inches of roots and based on recommendations on Amazon chose the 3 x 24" version of this product. I'm 6'5" and as it turns out that was an ideal length to squat over the auger and run the drill such that each hole was about 14" in depth. The deeper the hole (at least at our place, the more clay I encountered so found myself resisting the corkscrew action trying to pull the drill into the ground or torque it out of my hands. Quite frankly after I had augured out 100 holes or so I figured there was no way this product was going to hold up as the soil was getting firmer the further I got from the creek bottom. In fact, I had to switch out drills to allow batteries to charge and the drill to cool down while the auger just kept going. I would estimate it took about six hours to drill all the holes. At that point I had 350 perfect little holes with dirt heaped up around the edges, and it was a simple process to drop in a tree at the appropriate height, throw in a big handful of potting soil, and cover and compact the root ball with the native soil around the edges. This product was a big big help with the whole process and much less taxing than trying to use a shovel to do the same. The picture of the auger is at the last tree, and it looks and works as good as new! ... show more
