I got this to fix a tattoo that is on my thumb. It’s a simple tattoo that’s easy enough to fix on my own. But a lot of tattoo shops are charging $80 for a 1“ x 1“ black only tattoo and I originally got this tattoo as a remembrance of the lives that are no longer around me, as well as the fact that I am still here. Simple enough. But because it’s on the finger, it fades very fast. So after a month, I had it touched up for the free touchup which basically had to be re-tattooed on my body because it lifted off. So I’ve had this tattoo technically for two months, but it lifted off again, partially not as bad as the first time. So I figured instead of paying $80 to have it reapplied again, I would do it myself for $23…… so far I’m not mad about it. And I’m doing it myself so I’m beholden to myself for what I put on my own body. All of this to say that if you want a tattoo gun to do it yourself, there are a lot of options, but don’t fall asleep on this one just because it’s cheap doesn’t mean that it doesn’t work. I like it pretty good. It’s easy to control. The only problem that you would have is if your hands are not steady in the first place. Otherwise it’s a great option.

I'm an artist who has drawn all her life and I always wanted to learn how to tattoo. I had zero knowledge about tattooing before getting this machine beyond having a bunch of tattoos myself. So I was excited to see this kit with everything you would need. If you like me want to get started I think this set is great. It comes with every single piece you would need. The machine itself works great for me and I found it very easy to put together and use. I've been watching tattooing classes and tutorials online to learn the basics and go from there. And after a few weeks using it these are my pros and cons to this kit. PROS: - You can start using it right away. It has a full machine, some ink, cartridges, a fake skin, etc.) - Very easy to use (not necessary to tattoo masterpieces if you have no previous experience, but to start practicing) - Great price considering everything it contains - No issues with the machine itself. CONS: - You will need to get extra supplies pretty much right away. The ink bottles are tiny. I ran out of black ink after 3 - 4 days of practicing lines. - The ink quality leaves a bit to be desired. But you should be only using it for fake skin practice. When I bought some professional black in the pay off was sooo much better. - It comes with one single pair of gloves. I recommend getting a box and creating good sanitary habits from the get go. It's always easier to learn the proper way than try to relearn once you're used to doing it wrong. - I personally wasn't a fan of how thin the fake skin was. Maybe it's because I'm 100% new to this so I'm still working on learning the proper depth for the needle, but I found it extremely hard to not go all the way through it... often hitting the table underneath. I bought thicker fake skins separately and that helped a lot. - The needles are ok, but if you plan to stick with it or use this set on a real person I would highly recommend getting better ones. Again, I'm writing this review as a complete beginner. I would doubt a professional really would buy this kit so take my opinion with a grain of salt. Overall I love this kit mostly because it's a great first step. And the machine alone is well worth the price.

very nice kit that comes with all the basic items to start practicing, the pen has a very nice shape and nice construction quality, feels solid and sturdy in the hand, the vibration levels are nice, and even doesn't jump all over the place, the power supply has a nice shape like a skull that add a cool factor, the accesories provided are decent for practice with how to use it.

I'd give it a 5-star normally. These guns have ALWAYS got a 5-star from me because they slap hard. But the "kit" that comes with this is wonky at best lol. The foot pedal is more like a fisher-price one. Just all the extra stuff is like dollar store stuff. But the gun itself IS AWESOME. I don't get why they would risk their product being right next to such low-quality accessories.

Nice little machine comes with everything to get started practicing the inks are only suggested for precticing but whta i do love is the digital display on the power supply not many low budget starter machines come with a digital display which is nice. Good needles and all the esentials make it a very well rounded beginner setup.

There really is not much to love about this tattoo "gun" kit. It's actually rather sad, because the one redeeming feature is that it IS priced well. This will appeal to many looking to enter the world of tattooing. My fear is that this kit will turn them off to going any further. That's because the tattoo pen (the centerpiece of the kit) is simply bad. It's got a bad grip shape, bad balance, it's long, it's incredibly noisy, and has a ton of vibration... even at the lowest speeds. There's a grittiness when it runs. I attribute that to an inferior motor. At a time when other kits (even cheaper kits) have been utilizing truly superb motors, this kit went the other way. It's simply a terrible running pen. I ran this pen using my own battery pack (yes, you can put a battery on it, there's an RCA jack at the top), and ran it from 3.0v all the way to 12.0v. I can say without hesitation that it ran uniformly terribly throughout. The pen also has an adjustable stroke, which is accomplished by twisting the grip area. The problem is that there just isn't all that much to grip when you turn it, due to the shape of the grip area. Next you have the AC power supply which it happens, is a very good match to this pen. It's also useless, given it's all plastic, super light, and has a juvenile skull motif on the top. I will admit that it has a nice large LED readout, but that's as far as I'm willing to go. Also included in this kit are a box of 20 needle cartridges, five small practice inks, a single tube of A&D ointment, a single pair of blue latex exam gloves, a single roll of black grip tape, a single sheet of practice skin, two sheets of tattoo design transfer paper, and a small instruction manual. Pricewise, this is a great set. It's clearly put together for beginners, but shouldn't we be giving them something better, to continue with their practice? I looked this kit over several times, and unfortunately there's just not a lot of value there, in my opinion. The rest of the kit... meh.

I started out with high hopes, but this one had so many little issues that it was just too hard to control it. It would start with jerky movements when turned on, and that made it impossible to do straight lines. The power kept going off, which I feared was from overheating, as the Pen felt warm in my hand. The cartridge needles didn’t seem to seat well in the pen. I called the helpline for advice, but nothing they said changed any of those issues. I would probably pass on this one.
