This kit does a great job of covering all the basics to get you started. The fake skin does have a good thickness and flexibility to it. The machine works great, of course when you finally figure out how to get it going. There isn't a pause button only power on and off which is frustrating. It also took a lot of random button pressing to tweak the settings to get it to run properly. I couldn't find a booklet that explained this but figured it out by trial and error. I wish I had watched videos of this type of machine being used, as I personally don't like the non intuitive control system. It's a great deal, but not for everyone.

I’m a beginner, and I want to learn how to do small tattoos. This kit comes with ink, needles, tattoo gun, batteries, and other accessories. The kit also comes with decent instructions. The tattoo gun feels good in my hands. It’s not too heavy, but it has a slight weight to it. After researching, I have found that the ink is not a higher quality, but it’s great for practice on the tattoo skins. I wouldn’t expect it to last very long if used on regular skin. However, it may also do very well. I’m just not comfortable trying that at this time since I am new, and I’m not the best with artistic designs right now. The needles fit the tattoo machine well. It holds ink with very minimal leakage. Each battery seems to hold a good charge. It might be best to charge in between use to keep it from running out of power when using it for longer periods. It does smear on the practice skins. I assume it’s due to the skin material. The pen does a very nice job with shading and outlines. With high quality ink and needles, I feel that this tattoo machine would work great for traditional tattoos. I recommend making sure the caps are snug on the bottles or else they can leak on everything. I’m impressed by the overall quality of the tattoo gun. It feels durable and works well. I’d recommend this kit. It is also a good value, especially for a beginner kit.

Contemplating a career change and have always been drawn to tattooing. Before spending a bunch of money on something that might just become an expensive hobby, I started looking around at various options for tools and supplies. Based on my research, this is a really great starter set for people like me who are interested in getting into tattoo art but don’t have the funds to go all out. This set includes not only a tattoo gun, but two rechargeable batteries , needles, inks, and even practice skins. The gun itself is lightweight but feels sturdy and I’m not concerned about hand fatigue. The brushless motors means it’s really quiet and doesn’t sound like you’re in a dentist chair. It didn’t take more than a couple of hours to fully charge the batteries and since they each have their own charging cord you can charge them simultaneously and never be without battery power for longer sessions or a full day of inking. I’m really pleased with my decision to order this kit. The price is more than reasonable considering everything you get. It’s a great way to get a feel for the craft and practice without breaking the bank.

So, here's what you need to know about this kit. The fake skin it comes with is literally too thin to practice on, I recommend something a bit thicker. The Most valuable thing in this pack is the gun and second battery. The second most valuable is the cartridges, which do fit this gun snugly. These inks I'm just not sure about. I do not think I would entrust them to human skin just a bit thin and watery, but they are vibrant. Honestly the gun is comfortable and has a decent rpm control and I would use it to ink a human. All in all, the kit itself seems reliable and decent for practice on fake skin. The price for this kit seems a bit high really but it is a decent little starter set for beginners for sure. I'm on the fence with this one as I own a lot, and I do mean a lot of equipment, comparing it to some of the others for this price I think they can do a bit better and for me personally this one will probably rest in the toolbox.
