The media could not be loaded. This set comes with everything you need to get started and is the most comprehensive set I've found so far at this price point. I'm just in the beginning phases of learning how to tattoo, and I've tried many different kits now. This kit includes everything you need to get started, including 80 cartridges that help you practice both lining and shading (20 each 03, 07 and 09 RL, and 07RM). The on/off, depth adjustments, and speed fine-tuning were fairly easy and self-explanatory. The gun has an adjustable needle depth, which really helps when you're trying to learn how far to hold the gun to get the right skin depth (1-2 mm). It also comes in a convenient carrying-case, which is very handy if you want to carry it with you on a trip. I still don't feel confident working on actual skin, so I'm still just practicing with skins (included) and intermittently shading in some decades-old scars from an old accident to try it out on actual skin. I've been looking for somewhere that does paramedical tattooing in my area for years, and failing to find a reliable provider, decided to take matters into my own hands. I was easily able to mix the ink to a flesh tone (red, blue, yellow, and white) in the included ink cups, which come in various sizes. This is great since the ink bottles are small trial-sized bottles, so you can use a smaller cup and not waste ink or risk hitting the cup bottom and ruining the needle. The included gloves provided a nice germ barrier after I'd sterilized all required skin areas. This machine was easy to handle and allows for steady handling and an even and consistent depth, and the needle didn't hurt any more than professional tattoos. The ink was deposited evenly over the scar tissue area and is healing evenly. The skin trauma was no worse than any of the professional tattoos I've ever gotten, and the healing went by without a hitch, though it was itchier than normal as expected due to the tattoo being done over a keloid scar. Overall, this is a very user-friendly kit for someone who wants to explore tattooing and is an excellent value for the money. This is a decent kit, but the pen is rough running. Other than that it's fine. The kit contains 80 tattoo needle cartridges, more than any other kit I've seen. There are also a charging cord, spare 0-rings, a small set of inks, a small set of ink caps, a single set of black latex exam gloves, a single roll of grip tape, a large, thick practice skin, and two sheets of tattoo design transfer paper. That's all good, and it all comes in a very protective, very handy hard plastic case with latch closures. When it comes to the pen, the shape is fine (in my opinion) and though the grip has a turned shape, it's easy enough to customize with a little grip tape and folded paper towel. I like that the grip is thick, and can be made even thicker to prevent hand & finger fatigue. The pen features a three-button operation ("On/Off", "+", and "-"), that is easy to use, and intuitive. There is a good digital LED readout on the very top of the pen. The battery is integral, and is said to last 4-6 hours, which is good. The stroke is adjustable by twisting the grip area, and there are audible (and palpable) clicks. As I've stated, the pen is rough running, and has a lot of vibration (and grittiness). It's also rather loud, and gets really loud around nine volts, screaming at ten volts. This is probably not an issue for someone beginning their tattooing journey, but is likely unattractive to someone with more experience. This a well put together kit for someone looking to get into the art. It has most of the things you need to start. The machine itself is ok but the case keeps things in order and will be nice to have. Only part I'm a little iffy about is the ink. The cartridges it comes with work very well and come with a variety of sizes for lining and shading work. The pen itself feels really good in your hands, the weight balance is spot on and doesn’t feel heavy in certain places.
