Used twice. First time around the results were out of this world. My ink looks phenomenal five weeks later. Even if I had a complaint, the price point vs quantity is almost tenfold vs the nearest competitor. So don’t waste your money on a couple 4”x8” patches. I didn’t see a good reason in purchasing a mainstream brand when there’s no additional therapeutic benefit. You don’t want your new tattoo to scab at all. Incubate the ink and “wound” until the body’s immune response has stopped sending natural antibodies to the tattoo area (3-5 days), then remove and follow regular protocol. This helps keep the ink in place and “ooze” out. For clarification, I typically leave the tattoo shop with original/fresh ink, wait about 12 hrs, then I remove the OG wrap/bandage. Next, lightly coat new tattoo with Bacitracin + Zinc, the. apply the 2nd skin and leave it on for 3-5 days. Sometimes it doesn’t stick perfectly, primarily due to user error. Make sure the edges of the wrap are beyond your new ink and so it a stick to fresh/dry skin. If not - it will just come undone and you’ll have to repeat (don’t worry - it usually happens 1-2x). ... show more

Holy crap! This stuff is better than the name brands. Very sticky. No residue. No rashes. Held on my wife's shoulder cap (seriously) with zero leakage. Highly recommend!

This is definitely not saniderm, but it does get the job done. I feel like it’s harder to peel off the backing and the front. That said, it does have staying power and does protect the tattoo.

Horrible. Stuck to my skin too much. Left crazy residue afterwards. Horribly hard to pull off and was sweaty underneath. Nothing like the second skin my tattoo artist had.

I sustained chemical burns on the soles of my feet two years ago. If it wasn’t for this product, I don’t know what I’d do. I use it to cover the bottoms of my feet for protection and to keep my skin from drying so bad that it cracks open and sets my healing back. Long story. I tried another brand and it didn’t hold a candle to this product. I came right back. Don’t look any further if you want a good product that doesn’t leave sticky residue when you peel it off. I have several tattoos that I have healed with name brand saniderm second skin (and other official brands). I have not had any reactions to the adhesive or irritation from the official brands. I purchased this as backup for faulty second skin placement. I had this on for maybe 2 hours max and the skin underneath the bandage turned red and itchy. After some research, it looks like this product is not gas permeable, whereas the official brands are gas permeable, which is what can lead to the reactions and irritation. I'm disappointed that my new tattoo will have to scab over earlier than I wanted it to, I am dissatisfied with this product. 3 stars because this could work for some people with less sensitive skin, and besides the irritation, it stuck well and performs as expected for this type of product. ... show more
