I picked up the 12' x 20' version of this tarp. While it does measure up as advertised at 14 mil thickness, I’d personally classify 14 mil as more of a medium-duty tarp as true heavy-duty options tend to be closer to 20 mil. However, it is as described. That said, the build is serviceable. The grommets are fine, there aren’t any standout reinforcements or premium touches, but it should hold up for general outdoor use. So far I've been using it to cover two riding lawn mowers and its doing a great job. If you’re looking for a reasonably priced tarp with honest specs and average construction, this one fits the bill.

If there is a better tarp on the market, I haven't found it. This tarp is 14 mil thick, and it is definitely heavy duty and can take just about whatever you might reasonably throw at it. I always try to buy thickets tarps for outdoor use, as the cheap ones often won't make it through an entire years before they are threadbare. With this one, I can see it lasting for a good long time. I store a utility trailer outside in the winter, and with this tarp, I can see it lasting for years. You get what you pay for with tarps. The thin ones are much cheaper, but when you factor in lifespan, paying more is cheaper in the long run. I HIGHLY recommend this product. I'm glad I got one.

This is a nice average weight and size all around tarp. We will be using this outside to cover and protect items during rain and snow, etc. It is the weight and thickness it is stated to be and will hold up well with moderate care. The price is reasonable for this quality.

We have a frame structure where we store our fuel barrels - this heavy duty tarp is the roof and is working really well. Safekeeping the barrels against rain and keeping the whole space nice and dry. 14 mil is considered heavy duty and we have been happy with how well is holds up to the wind beating it against the frame and how sturdy and string the grommets are along the edge. Worthwhile investment to protect any outdoor items and is most definitely a step above :-)

Smells horrible when I opened it, like petroleum. I am using it outdoors so not an issue for me but if you are using it inside you may want to air it out. Seems to be durable but time will tell. The edges are folded over and stitched so it gives extra strength to the eyeholes.

I got the 12 x 20, 14 mil. They call it heavy duty, but I personally consider 14 mil to be a medium duty tarp. I think heavy duty is usually closer to 20 mil. But it is indeed the promised thickness, seems like 14 mil. Everything about the build quality is pretty average. Grommets are average - not poorly done, but no special reinforcements either.
