This review is for the MVPNET brand heavy duty 6’x8’tarp. This tarp is absolutely NOT heavy duty. It is much thinner than expected. Seems pretty similar to the basic tarps I’ve purchased at Harbor Freight. Workmanship seems fine, I didn’t not notice any defects. I got it to cover my generators. Overpriced for what you get. ---------------------- Update 1/11/25 I've had this covering my generators on my patio for a while and it has held up well. While absolutely NOT heavy duty, I think it has performed better than my Harbor Freight budget tarps. I am raising my rating to 4 stars.

Perfect as the base for a space-themed birthday set up. Kept our floors dry from kids bubble crafts, held up to kids walking all over it, and matched the theme of the party with the silvery finish. Easy to set up, wipe down, and reuse for regular use. I don't have a ton of other tarps to compare it to, but it was actually harder to find a silvery tarp locally than I expected (for some reason all the ones in the stores near me were blue or black!) and it really pulled the look of the event together.

I haven't gotten to use it a lot yet outside of covering up my generator when I'm not using it, been having to keep it on standby without how bad the ice/snow has been this past month. Definitely a little bigger than you'd need for something like that, but makes it easy to cover it completely and bungee cables hold it down easily. It's kept the generator completely dry, as long as you don't count the bottom of the wheels touching the ground haha.

I needed a tarp to cover my old car because there was small leak in the windshield.. So I grabbed this one because it looked somewhat better than a normal blue tarp. The thickness is a lot better than the blue tarps I have gotten in the past, but they also worked for what I needed them for.. For this one its thickness is moderately more thick then my old blue tarp that I use from time to time. So far its been on the car for the last 6 week and hold up well.. Though I really need to get the liner repaired so I no longer need to use this because off all the wind and rain we keep getting.

I got this originally to use as a sun shade, but then we experienced a leak in our living room ceiling so I used it to protect our new carpet while we were away. Definitely heavier than the standard blue tarps. The bindings around the grommets are solid too so the wind won't tear through the material.
