  • Grips well and are well built
I have used several brands of this style of tarp clip. These are a little narrower than some I have used but they do the job. I am using them with inexpensive tarps and with greenhouse plastic that has torn with age and high winds. The tarps are in place as a wind break to protect my chickens' pen and coop. I have several of these at corners and hanging points, as well as to connect separate tarps. With the cheap tarps, I need to fold the edge a couple of times so the clip grips it without tearing the tarp. I blame this on the cheap tarp, not the clip. On the greenhouse plastic, we are waiting for better weather to replace it but in the meantime, the torn plastic is being held together with clips to restore some wind barrier, and to prevent further tearing. The carabiners do work well to connect the plastic segments but zip ties also work here, as well as the hook end of a ratcheting tie down. These work well, they grip well, and they are sturdy...but my experience is that they work best for my uses when I have several doing the job. When they have failed it has been because too few were in place for the stress put on them. Large sections of plastic or tarps can be incredibly strong parachutes in even mild winds, so using several at a time is a good idea. ... show more

  • These Little Grippers Really Hang On
Grabbed this set mainly for our canopy and pool cover, but it’s already come in handy for a bunch of other random outdoor setups. I wasn’t expecting much from a pack of clips, but the bite on these things is no joke—they hold tight even in wind. The adjustable screw system makes them super flexible. Used a few to rig up a quick shade tarp on our last camping trip, and not one slipped. The included carabiners are a bonus—basic but reliable. Only heads up: they’re small, so don’t over-tighten thinking they’re indestructible. Still, for the price and quantity, this kit is a win. Definitely recommend keeping a few in the RV or garage. ... show more

  • Clever way of adding lines to tarps!
We use a lot of tarps. My lady and I do a lot of projects. She flips furniture and hangs tarps to prevent paint overspray or to protect pieces outside. I work on vehicles and build car audio systems, so I use tarps when I'm building/painting boxes and to cover me in the rain. I wasn't looking for new tie-down methods, but when I came across the listing I just had to try these clamps. They arrived arranged nicely in a box (rather than just loose in a bag) and looks like it has all of the promised clamps and rope. These are such a clever design! They're very easy to use, you just fit the mouth of the clamp over the tarp/fabric, tighten the screw, then use the eyelet with a carabiner or rope. Super easy. Last night a big thunderstorm hit and the cover on our car wouldn't stay down. I was able to throw one of these clamps on in seconds and tie the cover to a weight which held all night! Overall I'm thrilled with these clamps and they've already made life easier for me. I can see these being handy in everything from additional tie-downs for tarps to hanging clothes while camping. I recommend! ... show more

  • Just what I needed
I got these with a singular purpose in mind - a pop up, one man, mesh tent I recently ordered had a fundamental flaw in design. The tent had no attachment points to stake it down, thus, I searched for a simple solution that didn't involve sewing. These tarp clips are just what the doctor ordered. The clips are adjustable and will accommodate doubled up tarps or heavy cloth/canvas style tarps with ease. The supplied carabiners are definitely not load bearing, but they will work for tie downs or, in my case, direct stakes. I do have some concerns about the longevity of these clamps, primarily with the adjustment knob - the material is a lightweight plastic and just feels a bit... weak. Considering the price and the fact that you get a boatload of these things, I'd still call these a good value even if they need to be replaced every now and then. Honestly, if you are anything like me, these will end up being semi-permanent where I install them, so if the adjustment knob breaks, I'll just zip tie or tape the clamp to keep it cinched down. No big deal. Fits a need and works well - and there are a ton of them. Good buy. ... show more

  • Super handy devices!
I'm a fan of easy to use tarp clips like these and routinely find a wide variety of uses for them, especially when out traveling in the camper. We first started using them to keep picnic table covers from blowing off by just using clamps down each side and running a bungee cord underneath the table from once side to the other. I'm going to use some of these particular clamps along the bottom of a canopy mounted sunshade cloth to secure it to the ground or weights so it doesn't flap too much in the wind. The kit I received included 40 tarp clamps and 20 carabiner clips. The carabiner clips aren't very heavy duty looking but I do believe that I can use them anyway. The tarp clamps themselves compare well to the others I bought a few years ago and the holes are big enough for fairly thick bungee cord hooks. Overall, the product description and photos fairly reflects the product I received and I'm pleased with it. Just my own opinions and experience here, yours may differ. Thanks and good luck! ... show more
