My husband gave me a Skagen several years ago, but I wanted another watch for when I travel, in the unlikely event I leave it behind in a hotel room. This one is plainer with a larger face than my first one but both have a wonderfully classic look. One thing you should know is that it can be difficult to find a jewelry shop that replaces batteries in Skagens. My local jewelry store said that they're thinner and therefore the crystals are are prone to scratches or cracks in the process of closing the case. I love Skagen watches and have owned several. I removed one star because the watch was running when I opened it. So I have no idea how much battery is left - one year? Two weeks? This isn't the first time I've received a watch from Amazon that was running. It's infuriating.

Got this for my wife. She loves it. I've always loved Skagen watches after seeing them at Sharper Image stores, but never actually bought one. The clasp on my wife's very expensive upscale watch no longer worked, but that watch didn't take replacement watch bands.
