Pack comes with plenty of ties to cover any use! These types of ties are highly versatile and can serve many different purposes. Got them in 12 in to make sure they are long enough. They are very easy to retie to adjust length to desired size. They feel comparable to other similar ties in elasticity. Balls are a little small but that hardly impacts most uses. Hard to tell how they hold up to weather until they've been in service longer.

I ordered these to attach a shade cloth to the top of a garden canopy (the sun is really intense here). The zip-ties that I had used broke after less than a year due to brittleness and wind. I installed these about 4 months ago, and none has failed so far. They have enough elasticity to stretch with the wind and seem resistant to UV degradation. Even if they break before the end of summer, the price makes them economical. There are LOT of these little do-dads in a package - way more than I needed for the original purpose. So i have found other uses for them: - keep extension cords wrapped up and organized - attach things to the back of the pickup bed As others have mentioned, you might want longer cords, but 6" works for me.
