  • Great amp for the price!
Solid amp for a great price. I use it my mids and highs. Got it behind my radio on the dash. No overheating issues and I bang that thing constantly. I have no complaints.

  • Great sound and high power
Awesome Amp! Full range High quality sound in a small package. I installed one in a motorcycle fairing with no issues with space. I am running a pretty good receiver with four 125 watt 3 way speakers and two tweeters, and the sound is amazing. I would definitely buy more of these. You may need to wear earplugs while making high level adjustments ... show more

  • Very loud little unit
Ok, I was hesitant to put it in. I actually had my crossfire in, but that is old school class, AB technology and I wanted to preserve it. So I took it out and put this in. Don’t get me wrong, the crossfire was about as good sounding as you can get for what it was. And it did sound amazing and was 100% sonically accurate. The sound staging was great. But again I wanted to preserve it. I installed this yesterday. This thing is loud!!! And it actually sounds really good. Did I mention it’s really, really loud!?!?!? anyways I got to play with it on my ride to and from work today a little bit more and it is actually a pretty solid sounding little unit. Again, it is super super loud as well. If you have a set up that is running speakers that can handle the power output, I can honestly say go for this little beast. That being said longevity, I had its baby cousin-brother the DS 400×4 and unfortunately almost a year in, one of the channels started going out. So we’ll see how well this last how durable it is, but I also have it right off the rip on vibration absorbing mounting feet. Now it’s still into the price. It wasn’t much more money than the 400×4, and this thing is way louder. Definitely well worth the price tag in my opinion. Now sound quality, like I said, time will tell. Because, in my opinion, Brazilian amps aren’t quite as clean power as I would like, but right now it sounds pretty darn good. Everything is working as it should, it fits nicely where it is absolutely out of the way, and my four door speakers are definitely keeping up with the subs. If you’re on the fence about getting it, I say go for it. The amount of money you’re gonna be spending and the cost of a three-year Protection Plan as well worth it. ... show more

  • Amp review
Great amplifier, currently running 4 6 1/2 door speakers and 2 6x9 speakers. A total of 6 speakers overall and this amp pushing them with ease. The price makes it worth it.

  • Not for me and my setup
Terrible experience with this amp. I did not like the setup of the terminal connections compared to a traditional amp like an Alpine.

  • Awesome power, but is it stereo?
Nice small amp with big power. After wiring the speakers up per the directions, I don’t feel as if I’m getting stereo. If I adjust the head unit balance to one side, all 4 door speakers are still playing, that means that I can’t be getting a stereo signal, it must be mono. I can’t explain how having only 3 terminals per 2 channels works, instead of 4 terminals like I am used to seeing on other amplifiers, but I do know this, if you connect a positive speaker wire to a negative speaker wire, then you are hooked up in a series no matter how you look at it. The way that I ended up hooking mine up is, (keep in mind that bridged is 4 ohms and is 2 ohms not bridged) I ran both right front and back door speakers in a parallel to channel 1 only. I am not using channel 2 at all, and I am not bridging it either, due to the ohms. My speakers are 4 ohm voice coils ran parallel, making it a 2 ohm load, ran just to the 2 ohm channel 1. I did the same exact thing to the left speakers, and used channel 3 on the other side of the amp, and channel 4 not used at all, and not bridged. I have a “Y” connector on the end of my RCA cables, and I know that the amp is color coded red and white, meaning right and left RCA plugs, however, I plugged both right RCA cables in the channels 1 and 2, and both left RCA cables in channels 3 and 4. Now I absolutely have the left and right balance. And I’m pretty sure that it’s in stereo too. I would give this amp 5 stars if it had a positive and negative terminal for each channel. And would be nice to be able to set the frequency instead of just a switch for Hi Lo Full pass. I’m running 4 Deaf Bonce Apocalypse 6.5” midrange woofers. You can’t beat the power of a Taramps, nor the small footprint. ... show more
