This seems to be a really good amplifier so far. I am running it at .5 ohms to power 2 Orion HCCA 12 inch subwoofers. It is installed in my minivan. The amplifier stays nice and cool at half an ohm. It's pretty light weight. The fans are quiet. The 2 power and ground terminals accept a 2/0 gauge wire. Which is nice. The only issue i have with that is I am currently using 1/0 gauge wire and the screws that clamp the wire in place aren't very long so when I tighten them down they run out of thread and go all the way through. The wire does stay in though. I will be upgrading to the 2/0 soon. The gain is very sensitive. A small turn increases the output voltage very fast so it is tricky to set the target voltage with precision. The output voltage starts at about 44 volts at minimum gain. Other than that, it seems to be a great amplifier. It puts out the full 5000 watts without distortion. Can't ask for more than that. By the way if your planning mounting this inside the cabin of your car, beware it is very bright at night and may cause epileptic seizures. Hahaha. ... show more

This is an xlnt amplifier. It puts our more power than it says, the sound quality is very good and it has been super reliable. I like that the amp runs cool and has automatic cooling fans. The lights are awesome and have many different setting and you can even TURN THEM OFF if you like. You simply cant not beat TARAMPS for the power and quality you get for a great price. This amp will power my 2 Sundown X12's like a champ with tone of power. ... show more

Quality amp. I have had a few friends recommend this, and after watching benchmarks on this amp, I seen that it does over the power, so I believe it is cheap but doesn't lose quality. I don't seem to have noise coming from the RCAs either (i used a male to two female splitters for my bass knob). Only thing i wish they would send with the amp is longer set screws. I am running 1/0, and I have heard quite a few people say the size is M8x1.25 8mm. It is recommended to get the M8x1.25 10mm for a better clamp on the wires. ... show more

This amp is a BEAST! I had a deaf Bounce 4900, that they do not make any more. Going from that to a BB5k is night and Day! Pushing Skar VXF 15 D2 to its limit. Upgraded to AGM H7 850cc. Factory ALT. I have a small sodium Battery that i need to install to maintain voltage. If this amp is a beast, then I can not imagine BB8k. The RGB lights VU neter♥️♥️♥️😎. This officially is the best Amp I ever Had. I am actually scared to turn it up🤣.. sweet Jesus. I should have bought this sooner when it was on sale for $450. I still have head room because it is connected at 1 ohm. Taramps is the budget King of Amps. Hands Down. Imagine they did BB15k🤣🤣🤣 Update: 7/7/2026.. the only way to run this amp with lithium near the battery and above 14V. I am using a 60ah lithium start battery near amp and AMG under the hood. Awesome so far. Packaging was horrible! No outside box or any type of packing material at all. Not even taped close! Just a clearly marked taramps box with amp inside that's it. Would have given 5 stars if not for the poor packing.
