This seems to be a really good amplifier so far. I am running it at .5 ohms to power 2 Orion HCCA 12 inch subwoofers. It is installed in my minivan. The amplifier stays nice and cool at half an ohm. It's pretty light weight. The fans are quiet. The 2 power and ground terminals accept a 2/0 gauge wire. Which is nice. The only issue i have with that is I am currently using 1/0 gauge wire and the screws that clamp the wire in place aren't very long so when I tighten them down they run out of thread and go all the way through. The wire does stay in though. I will be upgrading to the 2/0 soon. The gain is very sensitive. A small turn increases the output voltage very fast so it is tricky to set the target voltage with precision. The output voltage starts at about 44 volts at minimum gain. Other than that, it seems to be a great amplifier. It puts out the full 5000 watts without distortion. Can't ask for more than that. By the way if your planning mounting this inside the cabin of your car, beware it is very bright at night and may cause epileptic seizures. Hahaha. ... show more

Sooo....it's now been a year since owning this amplifier, & I'm gonna be 100% honest here, I run mine full clip most the time on my 2 skar VXF 12". Not once did this amplifier ever EVER smelled, cut out, go into thermal protect, act "funny" or gave me any indication of "hmmm maybe I should back off on on the bass knob" never! This is by far the best investment in my car audio build & I've done so many! I came here to tell everyone YES. this amplifier is a BEAST, it puts out more than rated & keeps doing it all day in 100°F weather no problem. Now I'm going to say this before anyone just buys a 5,000 watt amplifier thinking that's it. No. You MUST upgrade your electrical system FIRST!!!! I cannot stress this enough. Even just throwing in an old 2nd battery will just toast your system. Start with a high output alternator first, (mine is a 320a Autotech) then you can add your batteries after THEN buy this amp. That's exactly how I did my build in my Honda civic & now everything is falling apart in my car. No more rear view mirror, headliner falling down, trunk about to fly off into space, etc. I'm beyond happy with my purchase & thought I'd write a positive review. Oh & the lights? Man...JUST BUY THIS AFTER YOU UPGRADE YOUR ELECTRICAL FIRST!!!! ... show more

Nice amp so far lots of power. I was excited to install this amp and test the difference from my 2k watt Skar. It bumps way louder. It arrived fast 1 day delivery on Sunday. Unfortunately they don’t include any bass knob it’s all separate so now I have to wait 2 day until the knob gets here so I can tune it to my bass satisfaction. So if u order this make sure u order there bass knob.i know they have a few options for bass knobs but It didn’t even come with a simple one for spending almost 500 bucks but for now I just have the gain turned up and stays at one level until my knob gets here ... show more

Terrific amplifier as long as you keep those volts 14+. I chose to run a pair of ct sounds strato 12’s at 4 ohms which gives me closer the 3 k watts. I never had it metered but it sounds fantastic at 4 ohms. A lot off ppl tell me the strato 12’s can handle the 1 ohm 5k load but it is loud enough for me at 4 ohms. I highly recommend this amp. My only gripe is that it doesn’t come with a bass knob. But pls keep in mind when running an amp of this power. “ELECTRICAL UPGRADES FIRST!!!!!”. ... show more

This amp is a BEAST! I had a deaf Bounce 4900, that they do not make any more. Going from that to a BB5k is night and Day! Pushing Skar VXF 15 D2 to its limit. Upgraded to AGM H7 850cc. Factory ALT. I have a small sodium Battery that i need to install to maintain voltage. If this amp is a beast, then I can not imagine BB8k. The RGB lights VU neter♥️♥️♥️😎. This officially is the best Amp I ever Had. I am actually scared to turn it up🤣.. sweet Jesus. I should have bought this sooner when it was on sale for $450. I still have head room because it is connected at 1 ohm. Taramps is the budget King of Amps. Hands Down. Imagine they did BB15k🤣🤣🤣 Update: 7/7/2026.. the only way to run this amp with lithium near the battery and above 14V. I am using a 60ah lithium start battery near amp and AMG under the hood. These amps do not like low volts. They will blow and will need repair. I learned my lesson. When you feed right, the amp is a monster. ... show more
