Starts easily and idles great. Customer service easy to access and very responsive. First blower ran great, but stalled and died if throttle pulled past 3/4 to full throttle. Customer service responded quickly with several recommendations, all of which did not solve the problem, so they sent me a replacement which works great. Never could figure out why the first one would not run at full throttle, but customer service providing a replacement at no additional cost to me was a plus. Hard to find that kind of responsive customer service now days! The blower has a 4 cycle engine which requires no oil in the gas, runs much more quietly than a 2 cycle engine, much easier to start, and runs much more smoothly at idle. As several other reviews have mentioned, the 4 cycle engines do not develop as much RPM and thus the blower does not put out as much air as you would expect from a 2 cycle blower, but I like the fact that it does put out enough air to blow even wet leaves. More important to me is that it smoothly idles at a lower speed than a typical 2 cycle blower, and at idle, puts out enough air so that I am not blowing leaves all over the place! The only other issue with this blower is the air intake is on the left side so if you are right handed and hold it close to your body, the air intake can be blocked and restrict the amount of air it can blow. Great if you are left handed! Not a big problem to work around, but need to be careful to not restrict the air intake while holding the blower. Great blower, great value for the money since most 4 cycle blowers are hundreds of dollars more than this blower, and unbeatable customer service, if you need it.

I've had a 2-stroke Stihl handheld blower for years that I struggled with over and over. Hard starts, hard to keep running, very hard to restart, etc. I got good at tuning it with the high and low speed screws and checking the spark plug but I was just done with it. I tossed the old blower in the trash to force myself to replace it. I use a corded electric for hours long leaf wrangling sessions but like a gas powered blower for post mowing cleanup and just quick stuff around the yard instead of lugging cords around. I planned to just get another decent handheld 2-cycle blower but was intrigued when I came across this one. Pretty much the same price range as the handhelds I was looking at but 4-stroke and a backpack? Worth a shot. Assembly was pretty easy using only the included tools. The instructions were not super clear but just make it look like the photo on the box and it's good. It comes with the 5.7 oz (170ml) of 10W-30 oil for the engine so just need to add gas to get going. I am keeping the oil bottle it shipped with since I don't have an easy way to measure out that specific volume otherwise. An assembly tip I have is to fully remove the screws on the blower tubes before twisting them on. As shipped they block putting them together so it's obvious they need to get backed out, but full removal allows you to line the hole up with a threaded female insert which it goes into - very hard to do without seeing through the hole. I adjusted the straps until it felt about right on me, added gas, hit the primer bulb 8-9 times, closed the choke, and it started on the second pull. After opening the choke I strapped it on and got to blowing around the yard. I didn't have too much to do with it since I used my corded after mowing a couple of days before but went after several spots where leaves were stuck deep in the grass after winter and it blasted them out fine. I have no other backpack blower experience to compare this one too but since it's much smaller than the commercial blowers I've seen used, and it's 4-cycle, I assume it is less powerful and best used for average yard chores than any commercial use. It matches my old handheld Stihl for performance (when it ran) for sure and that's what I was after. It was comfortable to wear for the 15 minutes or so I've used it - no numbing vibrations, pretty quiet (ear plugs still needed) and no problem at all to carry the weight. It could use a wider and padded strap across the front (across the chest, between shoulder straps) but perhaps I just need to adjust it or I can add a rag to it. Since it's brand new I'll update my review after some hours are put on it and certainly if anything goes wrong. Of note, the manual (available here as a PDF) heavily stresses using only fresh gas, with 10% or less ethanol, and sta-bil. I only use 0% ethanol (rec fuel) with sta-bil in all my small engines and I agree it's the way to go for sure. I have a 30-year old 2-stroke jet ski, 25+ year old motorcycle and snow blower, 20+ year old chainsaw, generator, power washer, edger, etc. and they all get recreation fuel with sta-bil (and fogged cylinders for storage off-season) and start and run great every year (except that old blower which I got second hand). If you can get rec fuel for this or any small engine, I highly recommend it. I only need to use sea foam when helping neighbors get their poorly stored equipment going.

It does a much better job than I ever expected for its price. Light weight very adjustable to size of operator and uses Milwaukee batteries that otherwise would sit around under used. Many cutting line options and ability to reload cutter spools is very important. Spool are easy to change no tools needed. Does good job of edging also. Thank you for a well thought out and quiet operating tool. Only four stars because nothing is perfect ( I think 4.8 would be realistic.)

Excellent product. Horrible Instructions. I was running all my Senix equipment in Choke mode the last 2 weeks. Engine just dies. No where on the stickers does it say that you need to prime 10x, engage choke, pull the recoil, "Engage Throttle" (It becomes silent/off after the throttle) and then pull the recoil again to fully start (In that precise order) . No wonder why I couldn't get this thing to start yesterday until watching YouTube. THE INSTRUCTIONS SUCK! THEY THINK EVERYONE KNOWS HOW TO CHOKE PROPERLY. WELL... WE DON'T.

This is a nice leaf blower great value, it’s light weight and easy to use. Used a few weeks and it starts every time second pull doesn’t use much gas either. It does vibrate a bit but not bad. One thing people should know is that in order to make them last is to use non ethanol gas (usually found near a boat launch, marina etc) don’t have mess with stabil I use that gas in all my lawn tools and have no problems with gummed up varnished carburators. Even after 2 years. Overall this little blower is powerful and I think a great value for the money! $124 Update Dec 2021, this blower still starts every time, change the oil ones maybe twice a year and it keeps going. Only thing I fixed was that the blower pipe came loose, really sucks when your on a roof and it falls off… I just added a hose clamp. Update January 2024, still starts up every time, I checked the valve lash and found that the rockers don’t get much oil, it might have been low on oil, it’s hard to gauge. Valve lash was good, not that I could find a spec anywhere. There was a lash so it will not burn the valves. Update July 2025, Still starting up very easy, not much to report other than that it’s still a great little blower!

I purchased this blower back in the fall of 2019. It appealed to me because of the 4 cycle engine. Honestly, it’s great to see some outdoor tools going to the 4 cycle route. PROS: When I first bought the blower, I added an hour meter to track it’s progress. I’m currently at 20+ hours already. - it’s lightweight, definitely heavier than a 2 cycle blower but still manageable. - it’s much quieter than your typical 2 cycle. It states 69 decibels; I would agree on that. - no mix involved. - small but powerful motor: it’s responsive - I’ve read some of the reviews regarding starting; honestly, I’ve never encountered an issue with starting. Generally it starts on the 3-4 pull; this after making sure you prime the carburetor. CONS: It does not have a locking throttle, you have to hold down the trigger - the gas tank is on the smaller side. It goes a bit quick. FINAL WORDS: my unit came with a high idle. I lowered the idle a lot. This also helped with fuel consumption so it is not running at a high rpm on idle. This blower is not a commercial unit however, I own 3 acres of woods and ran this all day without any incident. I own Stihl backpacks and use the blowers a lot. I’m no stranger to outdoor power equipment. But with that said, I’m happy with the overall construction of the unit. Best bet is using non- ethanol gas for longevity. Run the unit dry if it will be put away for a while. It’s not the most powerful of unit but it is handy and tackles what i need. If you have a smaller property, I’d recommend. To date, it has been trouble free. I’m now considering the Senix Gas trimmer Update: well it’s been a while after purchasing this unit. I’ve put it to work quite a bit but not heavily. I added an hour meter when I bought it and it is now hovering around 30-40 hours of use. Sadly it’s giving me hard time to start and run this season. It’s been stored properly, always use Stabil in the gas, well kept but this season she doesn’t want to run. I’ve had the carb off a few times now, cleaned, spark plug cleaned but no go. Runs only on choke but will not rev. I’m not giving up just yet

Iv owned this unit for about 3 months now starts on choke first pull then quickly give it throttle and the choke automatically turns off and keeps on running no second pull required. Iv been using pump gas 87 octane non ethanol treated with star-tron as I do with all my small engines and it continues to start and run well. Has a nice metal washable air filter Wich like, it's light weight and fairly quiet Wich is nice. Saw some reviews complaining the handle is weak and flimsy but it's not it's rubber mounted to reduce vibration so it flexes a little but still solid. Overall my only dislike is it's slightly underpowered compared to similar 2 stroke handhelds like the echo or Stihl but still does fine for the majority of needs like blowing off grass clippings ECT. I use these alot to dry my cars after washing and it takes a little longer with this one but less noise so it's a gain/loose situation vs the two strokes Wich I love but this is a nice change to use when I don't want to make as much noise. Overall I like it and would buy again if it lasts for a few years. Change the oil often on these as they don't hold much and using the choke to start can dilute the oil with gasoline overtime.
