  • Taramps Amplayer 400 is powerful and versatile, it offers 400 WRMS (4 x 100W at 2 ohms) and allows Bridge connections (2 x 200W at 4 ohms).
  • It is equipped with a long-distance remote control and integrated crossovers (HPF, LPF and Full), with FM reception, USB input and smartphone connectivity (BT).
  • The recommended Positive / negative power supply cable is 4mm2. For ACC Cable is 0.75mm2. For cable P. Antenna / Remote is 0.75mm2 and for fuse or circuit breaker protection is 20A. NOTE: It has 2 protection fuses, the external 15A (low-power mode) and the internal 20A (high-power mode).
  • The LINE OUT output allows you to send the audio signal (not amplified) to other equipment, such as an amplifier or active subwoofer. If you use this output to send signal to external amplifiers, an adjustment (decrease) of amplifier's input gain is recommended.
  • Caution: Before making any connections to the power terminals, make sure that the (-) negative of the vehicle's battery is disconnected. It is necessary to join the 2 yellow wires (Batt+) and join the 2 black wires (GND) (Do not use the vehicle's original wiring. Make a new installation directly from the battery)

Has to replace my Sony DSX-M80 marine radio and this was the only other 4 channel x 100 watt deck I could find, all though it's not a marine radio it was half of the cost of the Sony so I thought why not give it a try. It’s more than just buying a stereo to pop in the dash and make your speakers louder… in my opinion it’s hilarious to think of running a subwoofer and door components off a head unit. There are no special settings ect but for someone with a more complex system paired with other Taramps products this thing is more than perfect to tie it all together. The rca out voltage is under 2v which is what Taramps amps love and make them work efficiently without clipping. Along with a dsp/ other Taramps pre amp devices the extra settings are not needed and feeds the signal of your audio perfectly ... show more

This radio lacks lots of features that other head units include like fade and balance and adjustable hpf and lpf, but if your just looking for something to power speakers better then other radios on the market this one does the job you definitely want to run this with active crossovers and get it down to 2 ohm a channel if possible. for maximum output even at 4 ohm this radio is much louder then the pioneer I replaced it with. the preset eq settings are terrible so I would leave it on the default setting, I would recommend barevids video on this head unit before purchase. ... show more

Solid head unit. Simple as can be to use. Only real compliant is the lack of a custom eq option. But the presets are pretty dialed in. Sounds clean and balanced. Look forward to a later model with custom eq.

If you are putting a car system in your vehicle do not buy this radio. You have to must have some type of equalizer. Can we see this radio on a test bench cuz it ain't putting out 400 watts in any imagination. No matter what fuse you want to put in there If you don't want to buy a 2 new radio don't buy this one.
