My button kit came with 10 buttons, so I had to drill new holes for the last 2 buttons. This box was not meant for that accommodation. I ended up having to take out a chunk of the base just to get the buttons to fit. That aside, this is good for your DIY build. It appears that there is a thin layer of plastic peeling off after several hours of playing (heat/sweat), but the integrity of the box is still solid. I can still recommend this even after my own personal issues. It's easy to build in, and if I need to get back into the inside it's still pretty easy to do. Not as easy as some $300 pre-built hinged arcade sticks, but some pliers and drill effort will get this open in a minute. ... show more

I had built a cabinet and it became hard to move and work with... These replaced that and I just need to connect the two controllers to the RetroPie I was using before... it is not the same but it was a great approach to keeping everything neat without sacrificing the arcade experience.

Its made better then expected and really like this case the suction cups work extremely well my only negative thing is it collects fingerprints way to easily but easily solved with a graphics decal definitely planning on getting another one. Great buy

Back a few years ago, these off-brand plastic housings were adequate, and more importantly, they came with the requisite hardware to assemble properly. The quality has taken a HUGE hit and quite frankly, this is garbage. It doesn't come with proper screws to mount the top to the base. For some reason they do not fit through the base holes. The holes seem smaller in the plastic base than the top and the screws are not self-tapping, so the diameter is important. Something to keep in mind when ordering these types of cases. If I had more skill i suppose I could make my own, but these do save time, provided you get the right hardware. :) ... show more

Only 2 annoyances. 1st is that the main holes are 30mm while most button kits appear to be 28mm (at least the ones I found and purchased). This was a small deal that was easily remedied with a few 1mm width 30mm diameter rubber o-rings. 2nd bigger annoyance is the difficulty in finding 24mm buttons for the 3 top holes. I had to buy a large drillbit to drill the Start hole wider to use with my kit, and I currently have 2 unused 24mm button holes. Other than this, kit is great. ... show more
