  • Once it is assembled it looks nice and is sturdy, very good customer service
Color: Oak
Update: Adding a star to this review. The seller reached out to me to make things right and really seems to care. While this was definitely not easy to assemble it is nice they stand behind their product. So once you manage to get this assembled it looks very nice and is quite sturdy. Of course getting it assembled is the hard part. First of all, none of the dowels fit quite right in the dowel holes. They are all just a little bit too small. So they kinda help get things aligned and then just fall right out. To assemble the main part of this you need to precariously stack the walls on (being held semi upright by the loose dowels) and then somehow screw the walls on from underneath. Very bad assembly design choice. Once again, though if you can mange to get it together it looks nice and is sturdy at that point. I also ran into issues that one of the legs would not stay on (the screw hole just fell apart when I screwed into it, all sawdust no grip). I just jammed a toothpick in there and it provided enough tension to hold the screw in, but it is still a bit loose. I guess the last important thing of note is this is a good value for the money. Hope the cat likes it. ... show more

  • yikes on the directions
Color: Oak
The media could not be loaded. 2nd update: I added another star because customer service was excellent. Very rare the level of above and beyond I received from the company. Thank you. Update: see video. Right after making video I caught her peeing in the front of her old box too! So it might not be the new box but something to do with this new litter house 😭 Oh well. I’m going back to old high box anyway. Assemblage: not great instructions. I'm usually a pro at these but it took me about an hour to complete in the heat. I was lost on step 2-4 until I studies step 5 better. So to lessen the confusion I put one piece together at a time per step 5 illustration. My way made dealing with the dowels tricky yet only one piece got 1 dowel instead of 2 on a side (not a big deal). NOTE: the legs I got are constructed to have the flat surfaces faces out. WARNING: if you want to decrease dirty litter smell getting absorbed into the exposed chipboard backing (poor construction here) slide it in so the exposed part is facing out. This is fine for me because I have this unit next to a wall under a window. Appearance: it's fine and minimal. I like the hinges- goes with my witchy boho aesthetic decor. Color is acurate. Definitely, takes up more space then just her hooded litter box. But I wanted to give something like this a try and see if it helps decrease litter tracking as I have to get different litter temporarily. Side note: I love Okocat pine and/or paper pellets which is almost zero dust and hardly tracks but using the father-weight pine at this time. Usage: My cat used it within an hour of set up. I placed the bottom of her litter box in there and left the doors open. She went in that way and then I closed the doors as she was going to encourage her to come out the intended way. After she came out I gave her praise and lots of kisses. NOTE: if your cat does their thing up high or goes crazy with litter I recommend getting a tray with a high back. I plan to find/make a rubber wet mat with a high lip because I got a new stainless steel litter pan that is shorter than what she is use too. I'm glad I got this on sale, otherwise it totally would not have been worth the quality and hassle. I have never had issues with dirty litter box smell in my home. I have one cat and clean out the box complete twice a week. I even have the same plastic box for 11 years (great quality)! I hope this unit doesn't absorb smell. I put a baking soda air fresher box in there too just to make sure. I hope this was helpful. ... show more

  • Very frustrating to assemble
Color: Oak
The product is very stable and sturdy once assembled. It also looks very nice, was well packaged, arrived with no damages, and I love that it doesn't sit directly on the floor. But the assembly is so frustrating. All the pieces are labeled thankfully, but the pictures in the instructions could be a bit bigger so that it's easier to see which direction and sides the parts needed to be. The most annoying parts of this build were the wooden dowels very loosely fitting into the holes. And then you having to juggle 4 pieces, all held loosely together with dowels, and trying to attach them all into the base board. If that's not bad enough, you have to turn the whole thing onto it's side and screw screws in from the bottom. The 4 pieces barely hanging onto the base board don't sit flush with the side of the base board so those 4 pieces all fall off and thus apart from each other. I tried screwing one of the 4 pieces on and then attaching the others, but then you'd bend and potentially snap the dowels (or mess up the hole in the board). Eventually, I figured screwing on piece #6 (the one that holds the scratcher in place) and risking putting the 2 side pieces next to it using the above method. I heard some small cracks but the pieces all fit and are sturdy so I guess that's all that matters. When it came to attaching the top board, you also set up the magnetic door clips. The door clips has an oval screw hole so you wouldn't want to secure it fully until you put on the doors. Also the cam locks didn't fully turn on some of my cam bolts. The icing on the cake was realizing that this litter box might be too short for my 17lb cat. He's very long, but the product pictures did give the correct measurements so this is my user error. Unfortunately almost all the hidden litter boxes in this style (where the cat has to make a turn to get out) are about the same in height. Overall the product is good once assembled but definitely get more than a couple of helping hands if you want this assembly to be a breeze. I wasn't even fully done building the thing when I wrote the above. To make matters worse, the scratcher isn't even the same size as the opening for it, it's much smaller on all 4 sides! So your cats might slide a little bit when they walk on it! The instructions also say to use the wooden dowels to keep it in place but the dowels barely fit in the holes and literally serve no purpose because they just float above the scratcher. I will have to replace the scratcher with a rug or something. Besides that, the rest of the product is surprisingly good quality for the price even though the assembly sucks lol ... show more

  • Cats love it!
Color: Oak
This product was pretty easy to put together. 3 hands would have made it a bit easier. My Chas love the privacy it gives and the scratch pad. I would say it was quick to get together but I wasn’t timing my self. I have 2 smaller cats and it is perfect.

  • Looks so much better
Color: Oak
The litter box sits outside the bathroom and I was tired of seeing it in the halfway. This looks so much better. Had a damaged part to the door but we made it work for now. The cats have checked it out but haven't used it yet. Hopefully they will.
