Installation was fairly easy and straightforward. I used the hot water line as the cold water SUPPLY. Thermal limit ensures Water is as HOT without overheating. Excellent solution for our requirement.

Installed the unit and water temp jumps from 70 degrees to 120 degrees instantaneously. No matter the water flow rate it will not predictably heat water. Contacted seller and no response. Will be returning this unit.

It is interesting to see that of all the review photos, none (other than mine) are of the product installed. Nearly all are V.Ine. reviews, either still in the box, or uninstalled - and all glowing. I actually paid for this, and installed it in kitchen - which is too far from the central on-demand water heater, which takes over a minute to produce hot water. I was hopeful that installing this would provide immediate hot water. My photo (ignore the orange extension cables - they are unrelated to the heater) shows it installed and powered. I'm using 240V on a 50A service. I installed both the throttling valve (on the input) and the white plastic "anti-power device" (whatever that is). It is powering my sink, and branches off to my dishwasher. When I have the throttling valve open to the max, and my faucet open full bore, the heater reports 2.2 lpm. Inlet temperature is 57°. My max temperature is 105°F. It does warm quickly (maybe 10 seconds), but it never gets "hot". I have the temperature set to 131°F, "Power Adjust" set to P8. If I throttle back the sink to 1.3lpm, the temp will run up to 131°F, but that's so slow, it would take 4 minutes to fill a single gallon container. I've reached out to the seller for clarification, but it really seems this device is just too weak to be practical for everyday kitchen use. Hopefully there is a setting I'm missing, and will allow for they respond with a fix. Otherwise, I will be returning this.

It does heat water. If you plug it in, pipe it, and turn it on, it will heat water. But if you can get a brand name tankless electric water heater, do so. The temperature jumps around on this thing according to logic I can't figure out, even when I set it to a certain temperature. Lack of heat is not one of this things issues though - it can get hot enough to scald easily. The input side is sucking air somewhere whenever this unit is running but it's not leaking so problem for later. Kilowatt for calorie, it's fairly efficient, but wiring it for American standards of waterproofness and to electrical code require some adapting - I know in other places, they use ferrules and screw down terminals and the wet area electrical code is don't get it wet, so you'll have to clip off the pre-installed ferrules and install it in a wet rated junction box. If you want a tankless heater and this is the budget you have, it will work. Just be prepared for various and assorted jankery.

I installed this on-demand electric water heater to supply a shower, and it has performed extremely well. Hot water is delivered within seconds, with no waiting for a tank to heat up and no noticeable temperature fluctuations during use. Once set, the water stays consistently hot. The compact size is a big advantage. It mounts neatly without taking up much space, which is perfect for smaller bathrooms or apartments. Installation was straightforward using the included mounting hardware and instructions. Because it was installed on a shower, I did have to open the wall to access the pipes and install a valve. But if you’re handy, you can DIY. Proper electrical setup (or an electrician) is recommended though for safety. The self-modulating technology is impressive. It automatically adjusts power based on water flow and temperature demand, so it only uses the energy it needs. Safety features are solid and reassuring, especially for shower use. It includes over-temperature protection, dry-burn protection, leakage protection, automatic shutoff, and waterproofing. The LED display is easy to read and allows for precise temperature control. This unit is a great solution for a shower, bathroom, apartment, or secondary bath where you want reliable, endless hot water without a bulky tank.
