I installed this on-demand electric water heater to supply a shower, and it has performed extremely well. Hot water is delivered within seconds, with no waiting for a tank to heat up and no noticeable temperature fluctuations during use. Once set, the water stays consistently hot. The compact size is a big advantage. It mounts neatly without taking up much space, which is perfect for smaller bathrooms or apartments. Installation was straightforward using the included mounting hardware and instructions. Because it was installed on a shower, I did have to open the wall to access the pipes and install a valve. But if you’re handy, you can DIY. Proper electrical setup (or an electrician) is recommended though for safety. The self-modulating technology is impressive. It automatically adjusts power based on water flow and temperature demand, so it only uses the energy it needs. Safety features are solid and reassuring, especially for shower use. It includes over-temperature protection, dry-burn protection, leakage protection, automatic shutoff, and waterproofing. The LED display is easy to read and allows for precise temperature control. This unit is a great solution for a shower, bathroom, apartment, or secondary bath where you want reliable, endless hot water without a bulky tank. Just be sure your electrical system meets the requirements—this is a powerful 7kW unit and needs proper wiring and a suitable breaker. I live in an older house where the hot water heater is in the basement, and by the time hot water makes it to the upstairs bathroom, I've already wasted a gallon of water waiting. It drove me crazy every morning, so I decided to install this little tankless water heater under my bathroom sink. Best decision I've made in a while. This unit is compact, about the size of a large hardcover book, so it fits under the sink without taking up too much space. I still have room for cleaning supplies and toiletries, which was important since my bathroom storage is already limited. The digital display on the front shows the current water temperature, which is a nice feature. I set it to 110 degrees, and it holds that temp consistently. The hot water is basically instant. I turn on the faucet, and within 3-5 seconds, I've got hot water. No more running the tap for a minute while I wait. It's been especially great for washing my face in the morning and for my partner who likes to shave with hot water. It sounds like a small thing, but it genuinely makes the morning routine faster and less wasteful. Installation was not plug-and-play, and I want to be clear about that. This unit requires 240V wiring, which means you need a dedicated circuit and proper electrical knowledge. I hired an electrician to do the install because I'm not comfortable working with 240V myself, and it cost me about $150 for labor on top of the unit price. If you're handy with electrical work and know what you're doing, you can probably DIY it, but if not, budget for professional installation. Once it was hooked up, it's been totally reliable. I've been using it for about two months now, and it's performed flawlessly. The water temperature stays consistent, even if I adjust the flow rate at the faucet. Some cheaper inline heaters I've read about struggle to keep up when you change the flow, but this one handles it fine. The main limitation is that it's designed for one fixture at a time. If I tried to run the bathroom sink and the shower simultaneously, it wouldn't be able to keep up. But that's not what I bought it for, so it's not really a downside for my use case. If you're looking to power multiple fixtures, you'd need a bigger unit or multiple heaters. The only other minor thing is that it does make a faint humming sound when it's heating water. It's not loud, and you can only hear it if you're standing right next to the sink, but it's there. It doesn't bother me, but if you're sensitive to noise, it's worth mentioning. Overall, this is a great solution for far sinks or bathrooms where you don't want to wait for hot water. It's compact, efficient, and works exactly as advertised. Just make sure you have the right electrical setup, and you'll be good to go.
