This trench with the contrasting lining is not only on trend, but also a classic and made better than I expected based on the price. I ordered the size suggested because the size chart didn't translate to measurements that I'm familiar with, I should have sized down, there's more than enough room for a sweater and it's a big boxy- I'm even toying with having the inseams taken in just a touch for more shape. I'm 5'2" and you can see it hit me about mid-shin which should be good with even the longest of my skirts and dresses. Over-oversized quality aside, this is a lovely jacket. It's not terribly thick, and the lining isn't the highest quality of fabric, but I ran it under the sink and the water rolled right off, but the exterior material is nice. I wouldn't wear it in a heavy rain without an umbrella, but for a light mist, this would be perfect. I really do think that this is the kind of jacket you can wear for years. ... show more

This trench coat is described as oversized so I went with the small where as most coats being an outer garment I would go a little bigger getting a medium so there is room for a bulky sweater underneath without feeling bound up. The small fits perfect, (for reference I am 5'3" and 128 lbs) and doesn't feel overly big or bulky but light weight yet a good weight for most winter weather where I live in the south. It has a nice silky feeling lining and nice roomy side angle pockets. The buttons work easy no fighting to get them into the button hole because of mismatched sizing which I have run into and can be very frustrating. This is a perfect coat for wearing with anything really but I wanted it for wearing with dresses to church or other such outings, and it is perfect, I am very happy with it and recommend it! ... show more

This trench coat is lighter and comfortable. It drapes well. There is no waist belt. The are just two outer pockets. It is single set of buttons to secure the front. The inner lining looks great. This coat is 100% polyester. My only issue with this coat is workmanship. The button holes had to be cleared of residual material as shown in picture. I used an xacto blade to cut out the piece from every button hole. Overall the coat fits well with sleeves a little long. I have not checked whether this coat is waterproof of which I think it is not. ... show more
