Soft and color is as shown. Unfortunately, other reviews were correct. It smells so bad(like rotting fish). My daughter has it hanging in the basement and the smell is fading.Hopefully the smell fully dissipates so she can wear it

If weather conditions are iffy, or conditions are a bit rough-and-tumble, leather can get ruined. I got this for my girlfriend for casual wear, and she really likes it. It's vinyl, "faux" leather, but has a softness and 'hand' that feels like leather. Good zipper, and two slash pockets. (Women's coats never have inside pockets, which understandably drive women crazy, and I agree.) Fits true to size, and priced fairly. Real leather in such a coat would cost $300+, at least.
