I looked at all the fireplace inserts at this price point and picked this one because I liked that it had fun colors, the flame pictures seemed pretty, and it was close to the right size for my fireplace. The flames are fun and pretty, definitely not realistic but you probably knew that, and it’s putting out heat. The remote control is wonky and does not work very well. You have to be really close and press the buttons just right for it to work. It also puts out a very loud fan noise. Might not be noticeable in a big living room, but it’s very noticeable in my bedroom. Takes away from the ambience, but at least it’s silent when the heater is off. The part that is kind of disappointing about all of these heaters is that you can’t adjust the heat or fan speed very much, just high and low. I have an 80 dollar vornado that is a much higher quality heater, but this is still more fun. Just food for thought. ... show more

The unit fire colors aren’t as real as one would like. We keep it on the look in the picture unless we’re showing people the other options. Otherwise the logs look bad. The insert was easy to place in our built wall then we built our tile and mantle around it. The heat works for 400 sq ft if the room is closed in. ... show more

We purchased this fireplace insert a year ago and have not been disappointed. There are many different color options for the fire display. You can also dim the brightness if you like. As far as the heating aspect, we have an open living, kitchen and dining area. It has been in the 30’s the last 2 weeks and we have been able to just use this fireplace as the only heating source. I have not turned on my central heating unit yet this winter. We live in Louisiana so our winters are pretty mild but I think it’s don’t a great job heating and is very quiet. We gets lots of compliments on this unit! I would recommend this unit to anyone in the market. ... show more

The product looks nice and elegant, but the heater itself is not enough to warm my living room with a 55 degrees temperature outside. Also, the remote control doesn’t work all the time.     • No way to control the heat!
First off let me start off by saying, I love the way this thing looks in my fireplace. It works great and it puts out heat plentiful. The only thing I don't like and had I realized this I wouldn't have purchased it. It has no thermostat so you can't set it to come on or off at a certain temperature. It's just full-blown uncontrollable heat the whole entire world time. Which is kind of annoying. And the remote is garbage does not work hardly at all. I suggest if you're going to spend this kind of money you should get something that has a thermostat on it I wish I had. ... show more

Appearance is nice especially for the price, obviously it’s fake flames but it is a nice look and works well for what it is. The heater is a little weak and it’s heating a basement that is 250 square feet. It will heat and warm it up on low setting in about 2 hours though. I did leave it on one night on high 1500 watt setting and the room was very hot and I could feel it coming down the stairs. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. So far, it works great for the price. It fit as expected and the color changes are a nice touch. Due to the holiday delays, it took awhile to get delivered, but the company was very responsive and helpful in keeping track of the insert.
