This might be my new favorite eyeliner, and that’s as someone who wears eyeliner everyday without fail. It’s applies smoothly and evenly without skipping or pulling at the eye, using a dense precision brush. The color is a pigmented black that is a bit satin in finish. It doesn’t irritate my eyes, but then again I’m not applying to tear line. My favorite part though is the formula- at application if you mess up it’s still easy to wipe off with a bit of water and fix (I have some that dry down so quickly that I can’t fix it) and at the end of the day it washes off easily enough with my double cleaning- no raccoon eyes. But until you’re ready to wash it off, it doesn’t budge- I wore it cleaning my house all day- sweating and during a 6 hour pumpkin patch trip in 80+ degree weather, and that’s with oily eyelids, and this stuff didn’t move- no transferring to upper lid, smudging or fading. Great stuff!

First off, I love thrive mascara and I was so excited to try this eye liner! Full disclosure, I've never really used liquid eye liner before. This was definitely a trial and error product for me; however, there are alot of videos out there to show how to use this product, which I appreciated. The point is very fine and makes the perfect wings. It did take some getting used to on pushing down the eye liner to get the perfect black shade I was aiming for, but that was just user error. This eye liner holds up all day and does not smear at all. You didn't need to reapply throughout the day like typical eye liner. I love how soft the tip of the liner is, and how it worked so smoothly on my water line. Definitely adding it to my every day make up routine along with their mascara I always use. Thrive had the best products out there for a great price.

This black liquid eyeliner by Thrive Causemetics is so easy to use. It has a felt brush tip that easily draws really thin lines with the tip, to thicker, bolder lines with the side of the brush. This liquid liner dries down pretty fast, so it doesn't transfer if you blink & have double eyelids or a small crease over the top of your eyelid. Once it dries the liner stays put and is waterproof, but if you make a mistake it is very easily removed with a q-tip and micellar water. The 2nd pic shows my arm with the eyeliner right after running water over it in the sink and then rubbing the eyeliner while still wet to show it really is waterproof. I have oily combination skin, so I used primer on my eyelids before applying. I also sprayed my face with a setting spray afterwards. Both the primer and setting spray will help the eyeliner stay longer, especially with oily skin. Even with eyelids that tend to get oily throughout the day, this eyeliner stayed on for a good 7 hours before it started to smudge. I took a star off because of the price and also it is supposed to be a matte eyeliner, but in certain lighting part of it looked shiny to me. I will definitely buy this when it goes on sale.

I absolutely love this eyeliner. It’s been lasting me a very long time. At the end of the day when my skin has become oily, I can kind of rub at it and get some to come off, but generally speaking, it is very long-lasting. I’ve gone to bed with it on and woke up and it looked like I’d done my eye makeup already. The tip is incredible. It’s so tiny at the tip that I can tuck it between my lashes and wiggle it slightly and fill in the gaps, making my eyelashes look super full without looking like I’ve applied eyeliner. I can also make gorgeous precise wings. It’s a bold rich black. There’s no weird smell, it’s not overly wet like some eyeliner pens can be, and you can vary your line width. Excellent product. I’m attaching a pic of the pen nib, and the more subtle way I apply it when I want to look like I’m not wearing makeup

I had a really tough time using this. Initially, it was drying out so fast that it was impossible to ink a nice triangle wing because of the lack of dragability. But I know waterproof and felt tip don’t get quite as inky as a non-waterproof eyeliner with a brush tip. I realized that my ceiling fan was making it worse by drying down the pen while I was still using it! So part of it was environment, though I hate the idea of needing to turn of my ceiling fan in summer or fall (fall is basically late summer here) to wear this. As much as I want to give some benefit to “that’s just how eyeliners like this are”, it’s a ridiculous thing to worry about and work around at this price point. I do want to update that I have watery eyes and it does hold on better than my usual non-waterproof eyeliner. So I will end up using it. I don’t think I would buy it again tho, I would probably be looking for a better performing waterproof liner that’s more in my budget. It has really great staying power on something like the back of my hand but for something like a cateye wing near eye folds you’ve gone over a few times, it dries a bit more crumbly and can fall of a bit from tears or rubbing.

This liquid eyeliner has a nice pointy brush tip. The liner comes out smoothly and liquidy but dries down pretty fast- maybe 10ish seconds . One drawback is that it needs 2 coats (my pic shows s line with 2 coats) to be fully opaque black- which just means you need to have a very steady hand. It requires a strong oil-based remover to get off and lasts all day and lasts through mild crying.

The eyeliner has a nice soft felt tip. There is the right level of liner and wetness in the felt to make a beautiful solid line. The pigmentation is very dark and dries quickly. It definitely is waterproof and has staying power so it's not going anywhere throughout the day. I did not have any reaction to my skin or my eyes using this eyeliner. Overall it is very nice quality but a bit pricey!
