  • Great value and good quality

I really like this lens which I bought for my Sony A7R IV camera. It is quite a bit cheaper than the Sony brand and it can cover from 18mm to 300mm range, so a single lens would cover all my usage models. So far pretty happy with the quality of the photos taken.

  • Jut about the only lens you will need for an APS-C Sony mirrorless camera
Style: Single
I have an A7m4 full frame camera and two large zoom lenses for it. Add a grip to the camera and you have a pretty heavy camera to lug around. I used to have a Sony RX10m3 as a walk-around/travel camera. It was good but the autofocus sucked for birds. I sold it. I was waiting for Sony to bring out an RX10m5 but it never happened. So I bought the Sony A6700 and this lens. The combination isn't much bigger than my old RX10 and it covers much the same range. The lens has a lock button and that's it. Autofocus is fast, though native Sony lenses may be a tad faster. The zoom is smooth and easy to use. You can get surprisingly close to subjects and still get focus. It is almost a macro lens in this regard. Construction is solid so I expect it to last for a long time. I like not having to carry a bunch of lenses and changing them in the field. I sacrifice some sharpness and low-light performance compared to prime lenses but that's an acceptable trade-off for me. The lens does not go well on a full frame camera so don't even bother to try it. If you want a really versatile lens for your Sony A6x00 camera, then consider this. ... show more

  • Great Lens for a great price

I really like the lens and the flexibility it provides with its wide zoom range. It’s great.

  • Very impressed with this lens!

In a side by side comparison to the Sony 24 to 240, it blew the Sony out of the water in terms of quality. And I was actually surprised. And you have the perk of being able to see closer and farther . It was cheaper and better quality what more can you ask for?
