These worked fine in the test I did. They roll on a the clay and leave a nice deep imprint. The rollers are a good size and happily they come in a great little storage box. I love storage packaging…so awesome in the craft room to keep things organized. There are good patterns in these rollers for basic designs that can stand on their own or be embellished. I had never heard of this brand so I wasn’t sure how these would work, but I was impressed! They left a nice impression in my clay without many areas being too shallow. I really liked the length of them. I often make trinket dishes and something that is insanely frustrating is when I go to add a texture with a roller and the roller is shorter than the width of my clay, leaving an unsightly line midway through my project. I like all the designs on these rollers, and now that I have used them, I like the deep impressions they make in the clay slab. I was a bit messy with the mica powder I used in the picture of the rolled slab but I think you can see what I am saying about the nice, clear impressions. This makes these rollers very useful for several different techniques. Also, I covered the clay slab with plastic wrap before I used the roller. The impressions may be even sharper and deeper if I used cornstarch. I’m still playing around with these rollers and so far I am very impressed with how effectively they work. These rollers are thick and very durable. I am able to put quite a bit of pressure on them. Another nice thing about this set is all the rollers come in a plastic case, so safe storage is very simple. I look forward to experimenting much more with all of these rollers as I am very pleased to have them. ... show more

my son makes things out of baking clay and has for years. These give his art a nice bump to the next level being able to add texture alot easier he especially loves the wood one. must have for the clay artist. will be ordering more patterns.

I was not sure if these would be hollow core or full. They are hollow, but one would not know it based on the sturdiness and heft to these rollers. I love that they come in a nice plastic case to keep them organized. Upon trying them on clay is where they stood out! I used a relatively thick setting on my pasta roller and was VERY happy with the results of a quick roll. I did use cling wrap on the roller, but it was not necessary as the next time I used one it worked well. These are well made and worth the investment!
