Product came packed nicely. Smallish box but product fit nicely in box. Before you use the chalk practice a few movements. My first efforts I was heavy handed and broke one. Once I changed my pressure I was in business. It marked just fine. It is not like sidewalk chalk lol. Truly for the professional or someone who sews a lot. I have already made a fancy satin dress with overlay using the chalk. The best thing is the colors, it works on every shade. Marked well on deep purple and also on sheer cream lace. I have not used all the items in this kit. I recently wanted to use a fabric pen for a cricut project. I remembered I had these from the kit I purchased months ago. I was trying to load the blue cartridge pen in the holder, and realized I was loading it in the wrong end. The pen fit in my cricut very nicely. The many triangular pieces of tailors chalk are great-the mark on the fabric perfectly, however the pencils aren't usable (they simply break when sharpened) and the fabric pens don't mark on the fabric at all.

I read many reviews and I took a chance because they were mixed. I have to agree with some other people that the white pens did not work, neither one of them, which isn't a problem I just tossed them out. The little pencils are almost like crayons. I've only used them once, so I can't really judge. The chalk alone is a great value. Out of the whole box only one was broken. That's why I gave 5 stars. Nothing is going to be perfect. As a beginner at sewing, I needed a variety of different marking tools. Most of my chalk pieces arrived broken, but that doesn't really matter too much. The pens work and erase well.

The pens work nicely and an iron completely removes the markings, the chalk is more difficult to use and marks hard to remove unless washed, the pencils are useless.
