So glad I did... they are really easy to setup and great value for the money when I bought them in Aug '25. They have returned absolutely fantastic day & night images of deer and turkey. I also bought a couple solar panels from and off brand and the lithium power packs. This enabled the ability to go solar and never have to worry about "AA" batteries again. Have always had 100% battery life with this setup. Also purchased (not needed) the 64Gb Tacticam removable SD cards since I'm quite a distance away. The Tacticam subscription allows me to receive all of the footage on my iPhone so I don't have to go pull SD cards to see what is moving on the property. You can't go wrong with these! Love the camera. I bought 2 gen 3.0, lithium batteries, and solar units for all. So far one of the camera units is still at 100% battery. The other is showing the internal battery is at 54% steady, with the external at 100%. I’m assuming I need to adjust the solar panel. Ease of setup was simple. This is my first Tactacam and had it about 2 weeks so far so good !! The camera takes really good pictures day and night ! Very happy so far, don’t know about the battery life I opted for the standard battery supply but I think I am going to go with solar panel and rechargeable battery. Just wanted to give the camera a try before investing in the Solar ! So far very happy with the camera. I opted for the $13.00 dollar a month unlimited plan , I think is reasonable compared to other camera plans. Set up was very easy no problems ! We live in deep East Texas and the cell signal has 3 bars out of 5 !! That is very good for our location !! Would recommend this camera and you can add cameras to the plan. ... show more

Camera is great but the customer service of Tactacam is off the charts! First one I received had a factory issue and when I called them they were extremely helpful. Turns out it was a problem with the camera and not user error and they sent me a replacement at zero cost. I love a great company and this is one for sure ... show more

We have tried 3-4 other trail cameras always with difficulty. These camera's are awesome. Currently we are using 4 on our property. The accompanying app is easy to navigate. Takes great pictures and catches everything! Super easy to set up and share pictures with my friends that also hunt here.

I bought this to watch our farm property. We don't live on the property so it's nice to be able to see if anyone is there that's not supposed to be there. I also have the Tactacam 2.0. This is supposedly the upgrade, however I don't see a lot of difference, possibly a little better picture quality. You do have to purchase a monthly or yearly plan. It operates on a cellular network, so no WiFi is needed. Overall I'm happy with this camera. ... show more
