This is great for a rechargeable option for these cameras. Charges with a USB-C outside of the camera, and charges in the camera as well with no issues. Great replacement for using AA batteries and seems to be standing up to the cold weather temps just fine. Pairing this with a solar panel will make it last that much longer. I plan on getting a second one, and any time I happen to visit the camera in person swap the batteries in the camera to bring the second one home for some conditioning to try to help them last longer. ... show more

This will basically pay for itself in battery cost over time. This makes keeping a stash of batteries around for my camera unnecessary and it provides just as long of a charge if not longer than regular batteries. I know the solar panel has a battery inside as well, but this will help provide my Defender camera with power, if the solar panel goes days behind clouds or gets covered in sticky snow. These have more capacity than the batteries made for the trail cameras. So if just looking for a security camera the Defend may be better suited.
