When I first unboxed this thing, my first thought was "What is this, a fire pit for ants!?" It's so small you can't help but think it's just a novelty. Then I lit it up. It does actually emit a useful amount of heat. The ash tray sits relatively high in the pit so it's effective at keeping heat away from the table surface. For my use I found the best fuel is smoking wood, not the chips, but the chunks. That produced the most efficient heat I found. It does burn through fuel pretty quick, so be prepared to keep feeding this thing. For the cost, this is one of those must-haves for camping or outdoor hangout areas.

While I don't have a Solostove Mesa to compare this too, I do however have an older Campfire. What I love about these small firepit units is their portability and novelty. What I don't like is how inefficient they are. They take up a lot of fuel so stock up on small pieces of wood or pellets. What I do like about this unit is that it takes pellets, which my Campfire cannot do. I think pellets are actually more efficient than small pieces of wood. With all that said, this is great of your backyard, especially if you have little kids. Smores are always a hit with these things.

I like this little fire pit. I burn wood in it and it produces a hot fire in a compact space. Will definitely be bringing with me when camping this summer because there are plenty of camping sites where open fires are not permitted. I would recommend.

So the Title says "Better than the Brand Name" - so WHY only 4 stars? it's because almost ALL of these smaller tabletop burners are finicky and not quite perfected yet, even our "Brand Name" one. THAT said, our larger. floor-standing "Brand Name" stove is CRAZY efficient, it all just doesn't come together so well with the tabletop sizes, this one included. For what it's worth, Pellets are the preferred fuel for long burns and the least smoke and this **does** provide a low (very low) flame for an hour or so on a fill - needs to be on a tile or stone to keep it from scorching the surface its' sitting on .... I would call this a great deck novelty for the price, but not worth the hype and not without caveats

Absolutely worth it every single penny I would totally recommend buying the 6 inch or 8 inch whichever one you want and that’s totally up to you but get some wood pallets from Walmart and you’re good to go and maybe a little bit of lighter fluid.

The media could not be loaded. I am fairly impressed with the Garden Tailor Table Top Firepit 6 Inch. I have multiple Solo stove units and this one is clearly inspired by the mesa series. It fits neatly between the mesa and mesa xl in size (or titan and campfire), has the removable ash pan and fold out legs. It does not have the ring setup to cook on but this is a tabletop fire pit not designed for camping like the titan or campfire from solo. The build quality is acceptable but not to the level of solo. Just one example the holes on the upper inside of the burn chamber allowing for the secondary burn are not evenly spaced. They do work as expected but do not have the nice pattern or a solo that looks like a gas burner. It may bee becasue they are not evenly spaced but it does take a bit longer for the Garden Tailor Table Top Firepit 6 Inch to get up to temp and be "smokeless" than any of my solo's including the bonfire. Overall the Garden Tailor Table Top Firepit 6 Inch is a nice size and works as expected for a very reasonable price. My main complaint is that because it is sized between 2 or the solo stove models none of my accessories for them will fit on this stove. But if you are looking for a decent table top fire pit at a reasonable price you should be happy with the Garden Tailor Table Top Firepit 6 Inch.

I ordered this tabletop 6 in. Small fire pit as it’s basically smokeless, safe, and I can burn this in the mountain at the river on the sandy beach on my property. I bought pellets for this as I feel its safer then using dried wood from here. We are using the fire pit for the kids to make S’mores , and it’s working out perfect, and in the evening it’s keeping us warm , although we have to be close to this to feel the warmth. If I where to order again, I would get the 8 In. size. Good price for the small stainless fire pit.
