I loved the lamps. They function well and look nice. My problem was with one of the shades. The trim on one of the shades met together right in the front which is not very pleasing.

This is a good deal for a pair of lamps. They're nice looking. The glass part is well-made and doesn't feel cheap. While I see them being advertised as nightstand lamps, I do feel they are too big for your nightstand. These feel more appropriate for a living room end table. They just feel a bit too large for next to your bed. They work by touch -- there is no switch. You touch the base or the knob on the top of the lamp and they light up. Touch it once for low, twice for medium, and three times for high. The set came with LED 3-way bulbs so you do not need to go out and buy bulbs for these immediately. It's a warm light -- nothing bright or shocking. I kind of like how subdued it was. I'm sure if you use a different bulb, you can get a brighter pop into the room if these are too subdued for you. Assembly here is tricky and there's a design flaw that you'll see in my pictures. The top part of your lamp that you will screw into the base has a white wire in it connecting the pieces. When you go to screw the two parts together, you'll see that the wire is way too long. There is no way to shorten it so it fits easily. The solution we came up with was to bend that wire (as you'll see in the pics) to make it fit inside that cylinder so you can screw the two pieces together. I do not believe that this was intentional. There is nothing in the instructions about this flaw or folding the wire in as we did. We just hope that folding the wire to make these two pieces connect doesn't affect performance over time. It really seems like a dumb mistake that the manufacturer should try to fix. Having to bend and stuff that wire in doesn't make sense. The instructions are bare bones, but not difficult. It's pretty self-explanatory outside of the issue I mentioned above. The shade has a velcro closure that you wrap around 2 metal rings that are in the package. It took a minute to get it on right, but it's functional. The other thing that bothered us slightly was the USB charger is on the opposite side of the base from the power cord. So if you drop your power cord over the back of a table to plug it in, this USB charger faces front and center. You'll see it immediately. Some may like that. Some might be annoyed by that. You can rotate the lamp so that USB charger doesn't face the front, but you have to remember that the power cord will also rotate. It's not a big deal, but we didn't love the look of the lamp with the USB port facing front and center. I would compare these lamps with what you would get at a big box store. I'm just concerned about that white wire we had to fold into the cylinder to fit the pieces together. Hopefully, this doesn't short out over time. I was going to give it 3 stars because of the wire thing during assembly, but they are very nice lamps so I bumped it to 4. I think if it didn't have that design issue that comes up during assembly, this might have been a 5-star product based on the price/value.

The media could not be loaded. These are nice lamps. Easy to put together but intimidating when you open the box. Maybe 5 mins to put it together. They look nice and both work fine. My only issue is the bulbs. Just not a fan of the warm white. I will find some daylight bulbs to brighten them up. There are 3 levels of brightness as you can see in the video. The USB ports are nice. Can never have too many USB ports. I just hope we don't accidentally turn them on in the middle of the night reaching for the chap stick LOL.

These lamps came extremely well packaged so even though they’re glass there was no damage whatsoever. I think it took me longer to unpack them than to assemble them. Assembly was quick and simple including the shade which closes with Velcro and the rings just clip in. Bulbs are included, a plus. Each lamp has two USB ports which are almost a necessity these days. One just isn’t enough. Tap the base to turn on, and to adjust 3 way brightness, and tap to turn off. The gold color was a pleasant surprise. It’s not as bright and shiny as it looks in the picture, it’s more muted, almost a brass color. I like it much better. Highly recommend.
