These lamps are perfect for my bedside tables. Good size for a bedroom. I got the black shade. It is true black when the light is off. I like that it came with a bulb. I would have liked the lowest setting to be a bit more dim, more like a night light.. The instructions were not very good, but it was easy to figure out when assembling them. The lamps are bright and attractive. The packaging was very interesting. The fabric part of the lampshade comes rolled up and you have to unroll it and put it together. It is not as sturdy as other lamp shades but does the trick and looks good as long as you aren't inspecting it close up. I had to figure how to plug my devices in to the USB ports without turning the lamp on because every time you touch the lamp it turns on, except if you touch it with a tissue or something instead of your finger. ... show more
