I bought these lamps because they were unusual and didn't have a lamp shade to gather dust. They are cute and have two usb ports for convenience. The bulbs that come with them are not very bright so if you want brighter you just have to get a regular white bulb versus soft white. They turn on with a touch of the base by your finger. I needed a couple of lamps for my daughters' room - we were in the process of doing some remodeling and redecorating. I wanted something that was not so much for a child; something perfect for lighting the room and with enough "personal" light to be able to read a book without overly affecting the other sister. I decided to give these a try. The lamps have a good quality weight and feel to them and come with light bulbs included. There is virtually no assembly needed and we were ready to give them a try after just a few moments. We plugged them in and immediately were impressed with the touch response. It is very responsive without being overly reactive, meaning that it responds to the first touch but doesn't run through the paces if you hold a little too long or sort of shake when reaching for it. The three-way switch and bulbs included provide a nice light and work perfectly to let my teen daughters get along and have the right amount of light on their side of the room without too much bother to one another. The USB charging ports are functional and handy, and worked well, but probably won't see much use simply because of their preference. Overall, I would highly recommend this product for anyone who is looking for a nice, classy lamp set with some great features. After more than a month in use, they remain as good as the first day and show no signs of wear (even with teenagers in the house!). ... show more
