First of all, it's a 15-dollar item so... LOL This is really cute. I like the fluffy-soft fibers. However, it's extremely thin and I don't think I will ever dare do anything to clean it except shake it well. Maybe spray some fabric deodorizer on it. I don't think this would take even the most gentle washing. (I will update this when I have to clean it.) It came vacuum-packed in plastic & I had to let it "rest" for several hours before it would lay flat. I just needed something under my coffee table to pull together the look of my tiny living room. The rug is pretty small & you can't really see mine unless you are actually sitting on the couch. Still, it feels really nice under my bare feet. Also, the photos on the product page are for the largest size. I got the 2x3 and it's just that - tiny. That's what I needed but for anyone thinking it's bigger, it's not.

Okay I waited a while before I decided to write this review Yes it does have a smell and I do recommend airing it out for a few days before using it it did cause me some discomfort although I do have asthma it's from them manufacturing it and then immediately heat shrinking it All of those fumes are trapped anyway once that was over with I realized it's not as plush as it looks however it is worth every penny not to mention my vacuum cleaner does not try to eat it it works quite well

This is a great, soft rug that complements my living space very nicely. However, the long shag catches every little speck of dirt that comes within 10ft of it. Not long after buying this rug, my husband and I bought 30 chickens and a puppy, and now despite daily sweeping, keeping our shoes outside, etc, I’m finding chicken mulch and dog treat crumbs in the rug every day. Dry carpet shampoo and a good vacuum helps things, but the fibers cling to everything and even right after vacuuming I can feel crumbs in it when I walk barefoot. if you have animals (especially livestock or poultry) or plan on getting them, it is not worth the effort.

This rug comes shrink wrapped, and it looks like a bad purchase until it's opened. After it is exposed to the air, it becomes super fluffy and soft. It does catch every little piece of dirt on the floor, and it cannot be vacuumed. However, I like it because I put it in front of the door to do that very thing. It shakes out nicely.
