It worked once and since then won’t turn back on. It feels cheaply made and the legs are flimsy. It’s definitely on the smaller side (in life whoever said size doesn’t matter is lying) definitely not worth the money and headache

Cool little laser. Ive had many, even a glowforge. Was looking for something i can take on the go. This fit the criteria. Had really low expectations, but was thoroughly impressed. My only issue, and why its 3 stars and not 5, is that when you unfold the legs, there is no stopper. Basically, they do not stay at exactly 90 degrees because there is no positive stop. Should have added the same pin from the laser arm. I engraved a metal sample card they sent and because the laser may have been maybe a couple of mm off, the angle shows alot when printing making it hard to align on ur material. Had to cut the edges to look like its even. Notice the right side is missing the frame on the card. Thats because of alignment. However the engraving looks great for this laser. Keep in mind, its not an xtool or glowforge. ... show more

I own several Artilume laser engravers and have reviewed some of their other models, so I have a pretty good idea of what to expect from the brand at this point. They continue to impress me. I’ve used a number of hobbyist lasers over the years, and Artilume consistently delivers a combination of power, versatility, and ease of use that is difficult to beat at this price. This one is fast, easy to set up, and very beginner friendly. One thing I particularly appreciate is that you can use the Artilume app without immediately needing to purchase additional software just to get started. That’s a big advantage for someone buying their first engraver. As you become more experienced, though, you aren’t locked into the app. It also works with the common laser software people are likely to already be familiar with. The riser is one of my favorite features. Height can become a surprisingly frustrating limitation with desktop lasers, especially once you start experimenting beyond flat pieces of wood or acrylic. The additional clearance substantially expands what I can put underneath this machine and makes it considerably more versatile than some of the more basic configurations. Accessory compatibility has also been excellent. I use my Artilume rotary roller for round objects and my air assist with it, and everything works together as expected. Having one ecosystem of accessories that I can use across my machines is a big advantage for me. Between the riser, roller, air assist, and different materials I’ve experimented with, there isn’t much I’ve wanted to do that the machine has prevented me from trying. Power has been another pleasant surprise with these lasers. Obviously your results depend heavily on the material, settings, speed, number of passes, focus, and other variables, but in actual use this machine feels stronger than its advertised specifications would lead me to expect. I wouldn’t compare it to an industrial machine costing thousands of dollars, but among hobbyist machines I’ve used, it punches well above its weight. It’s also designed to be portable and foldable, which is genuinely impressive considering what it can do. Ironically, that’s probably one of the features I use the least. Mine lives in my workspace and I don’t really take it anywhere. Still, if you need to store your engraver between projects or transport it, I can certainly see the appeal. What I like most is that Artilume manages to make these machines approachable without making them feel limiting once you know what you’re doing. A beginner can get up and running without a huge learning curve or an immediate software purchase, while someone with more experience can add air assist, a rotary, risers, different software, and start tackling much more ambitious projects. I’ve had a great experience with the Artilume lasers I own, and this one continues that streak. Fast, powerful for its class, versatile, expandable, portable if you need it, and extremely user friendly. For a hobbyist or someone wanting to get into laser engraving without spending several thousand dollars, this is very easy for me to recommend. ... show more

First of all, I have no idea how this got more than one or two stars. After opening it up I found that it was really wobbly and it can't hold a true square. The y and x axis were swapped and plugged into the wrong receptacles. The app even after I changed it to English was still in Chinese so I have no idea what the heck I'm doing. I do not recommend this to anyone that has experience in laser engraving or if you're a newbie. ... show more
