This is not a professional quality tool. It's fine for grade school projects, but that's about it. There is so much slop in the mechanism that accurate fine-tuning is not possible.

Well built easy to use

Excellent for the price. The measurement is off just a tad - like 0.0078" which is fine for woodworking. If I need to be spot on, I set it with a machinist caliper. Turns out it's the indicator mark not the rule. The rule is spot on. This thing shines for scribing long runs, of course works perfect for shorter marks. Light weight, set screws and the fine adjustment screw work well. Great for transferring measurements as well.

It measures accurately but if they added a zero mark for measuring between the jaws it would have been helpful and also the fine adjustment was sloppy making it more difficult to use. I put some thread locker on the adjustment screw and that helped some.
